Epistolario Konorr Vordan
I present the work that a friend and I are doing. It is an Imperial altar in ruins, the ruins are fenced as a command center of resistance for a marine army. I leave the first images of WIP. http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0559.jpg?t=1299155041 http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0558.jpg?t=1299155042 http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0560.jpg?t=1299155052 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223864-imperial-altar/ Share on other sites
Hellios
Looking sweet! Someone here made a Cathedral so if you could find that topic it might give you inspiration... should you need anymore :P although it is looking great at the moment ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223864-imperial-altar/#findComment-2676993 Share on other sites
Wolf Priest Haelaeif
That looks awesome! What materials did you use? It might be a bit unwieldy, isn't it? Have you thought about cutting it into four segments so you can re-arrange them or use them on their own? Looking forward to seeing it completed. Epistolario Konorr Vordan
We used cardboard containers of cereal, shoe boxes, the DM is based on two levels and cut in half, DAS (modeling clay for children), Milliput, green stuff and Foamboard for the overall structure. Epistolario Konorr Vordan
New actualization of Imperial altar. The floor was made with plastic tablecloth. The altar itself was integrated with the altarpiece. We made the reinforcements for the walls (buttressed). I would like that you enjoy it!! http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0617.jpg?t=1300271732 http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0616.jpg?t=1300271792 http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0614.jpg?t=1300271733 http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0612.jpg?t=1300271736 http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0611.jpg?t=1300271736 http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0610.jpg?t=1300271737 http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0609.jpg?t=1300271737 http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv222/Epistolario_Konorr_Vordan/DSCF0608.jpg?t=1300271738 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223864-imperial-altar/#findComment-2690600 Share on other sites

The Normish
I love the "plastic tablecloth" floors. It reminds me of my grandfather's house (he covers all his tables with it before putting regular tablecloth over), and there it's called "bulle-gomme". Yes, it is a vary nice Cathedral/shrine/altar. One thing though, for the shields on the statues... I might recommend using any spare hatch tops from Space Marine vehicles. Not the ones that open, but those ones that are flat-ish. Very nice shield-shape. Although you've got a pretty good job done already. Brother Rathul
Add bullet holes and fading to make it somewhat more realistic. Love the Preheresy World Eater/ Emperors Children models. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223864-imperial-altar/#findComment-2691300 Share on other sites

MagicMan
Very nice man. The only thing that looks a little odd to me is the pristine floor compared with the shelled-to-s**t walls; but then im guessing its WIP. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
When do you expect to have it painted by? I might add some randomly placed rubble. You can probably find bags of small rocks for model railroads at your nearest craft or hobby store. A week later, still assembled and painted the barricades. Then we would only add the little details (helmets, ammunition, boxes ...)
