LoneSniperSG
Skyclaws are good but have to be fielded in large squads (I take10) and need to take a Wolf Priest and can't take a Wolf Guard Leader. Give them a power fist and the mark of the Wulfen. Against the army you describe take "jump infantry" as their vow. Treat them as a countercharge unit, hitting weakened units. The Priest I can manage. I think it's retarded that Skyclaws can't take a WGL, since WG have Jump-pack options. dragon950
Only 66 atacks, forgot to take one away from the blood claw with the power fist. But load them up up 2 flamers and charge means it would take a very expensive death company squad to survive. LoneSniperSG
How well can I rely on plasma weapons to counter the Sanguinary Guard's 2+ save? Fred Johnson the 3rd jr
Wait, what? Plasma weapons? That won't work at all. Won't the guard guy be in a squad, meaning you cannot single him out in the shooting phase? You'd have to target him in close combat. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
No, the Sanguinary Guard are a unit similar to honor guard. You might be thinking Sanguinary Priests. The Guard have a 2+ save a jump packs, but no invuln. Plasma should be very effective against them, though try to stay at a distance and use plasma cannons. If they get within 18 in., that unit is most likely doomed. Freman Bloodglaive
Though shooting twin plasma out of your Rhino is always fun. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223931-sw-vs-ba-the-war-rages-on/page/2/#findComment-2680070 Share on other sites

I have a Dread with a Plasma Cannon to anchor one side of my army, and Long Fangs with two Plasma Cannons on the other side. Along with this, I have two Vindicators to support my spearhead assault. I tend to get reliable results from scatter dice.
