Tabgoi
Okay, I know I said I would post some pics of my new work station so here they are. Sorry about the wait. Currently arrayed on it are the bulk of my miniatures. Quite a few of them are currently being stripped of their paint so I can repaint them so they are not pictured. The entire army was painted very quickly in order to get it on the table and it looks pretty bad. Currently I have around 15 Terminators, 6 Tac Squads, 2 Assault Squads, 2 Devistator Squads, 2 Rhinos, 3 Predators, 1 Vindicator, 1 tore to heck Landraider someone dropped on me (that is going to need a ton of work), 4 Dreadnaughts, 12 Scouts, Techmarine and around 5 servitors, 40+ Death Company, 4 chaplains, Masters of the Chapter, Dante, Mephiston, Terminator Libby, Honor Guard, and probably some other stuff I forgot about. I have been collecting for a while. So yeah, I have been playing the 5th company for a while, only brought the whole thing out a couple times though. Once I get these painted to a decent standard I will be picking up a trio of Storm Ravens, three more Land Raiders, and 6 more razorbacks to fill out transport needs. Anyways, some pics. And here is a closer look on the Furiouso. It is the first vehicle I really spent any amount of time on. Its was mostly a project to learn weathering and battle damage. This was before I starting pinning out the barrels of weapons, and I know the Sarcophagus looks terrible, I spent basically zero time on it because I needed it for a battle and it was the last bit left to paint at the time. The pics are not the best, the red is a bit brighter in real life, but when I go for a flash it looks 100 times worse. My chaos army is the first I did any real drilling out of barrels or conversions, another big reason I am going back to the begining. I am working on how I actually want to paint my army right now, but the first test mini came out too dark for my tastes. I really like having my minis be as bright red as possible so everyone knows just which servants of the Emperor as sending them to whatever hell waits for them. I will post some more when I actually figure out a paint scheme I like. So far white primer, red gore dry brushed heavily with blood red washed with babda black and heavily dry brushed blood red again is not doing it for me. I love the way the recesses look, but the red is too dark still after about 10 dry brush layers. I think next up will be white primer, blood red base coat, red gore in joints, watered down baabda black wash, blood red dry brush, possibly a red wash and slight orange highlights (like 5 parts blood red to 1 part yellow I really do not want actual orange on the model). Then a gloss coat to make it really shine.

Brother_Mike
Sorry, but I can't look at an old school Furioso again. I shake with rage of whenever I think of mine lol. The damn piece of metal kept falling apart ;_;
Whitefireinferno
Geeze brothger Mike you must be doing something wrong Mine can survive going through plasterboard and have to be dug out of the insinuation But then again there are about 32 pins holding it togeather :) the only thing that comes off is the Base, hands and the Smoke Launcher on top. How ever my one for the LPC will be a different kettle of fish with Zero pins in it and the Arm Nubs have snapped off :D But he will look uber cool. Tabgoi
Thanks for the positive comments. Brother Mike, mine has been like that for almost a decade with no piece having more then a drop or two on it. No pins or anything, I guess I just lucked out. It has been launched across a table on a dare without so much as the paint chipping. Its a beast. The only thing I have that is sturdier is my vindicator, which weighs about twice as much, and thanks to big gaps in the pewter it got a ton of green stuff work to hold it together right at the begining. I've used it to crush walnuts instead of a hammer. I have about 35 minis stripped and magnatized, and I figured out exactly how I am going to paint them. Unfortunately right as I start making progress midterms hit, one this week three next. So in about a week and a half I will start actually putting some pics of finished minis in here. I really miss the old red ink though. Baal Red wash is not even close to a substitute for it. Ohh well, live, adapt, possibly buy a whole bunch of red pens to break open... Games Day Chicago is only 4 and a half months away, my goal is to get at least a primary 2,000 point list repainted by then, and possibly a 2,000 point DC list as well.
