X3 Jaws Of The World Wolf

Prot, BA are one of the hardest armies to use Jaws against. They simply don't allow you the time to hammer their lines, since they don't have any (specifically, Deep Strike Angels.) If they started on the other end of the board and you could force them to walk, it'd be another thing entirely. As it stands, the BA are tough as nails against Jaws simply because they don't start on the board. If there was -any- army that I'd tell you not to use Jaws against, it'd be those pesky BA.

There's also the little issue of it not hitting Jump Infantry...

I have been playing with 3 RP's and finding them powerful. They give my GH's LD 10 for all those Ld tests, add some combat power with their force weapons, Psychic defence and they have a selection of great powers. Still trying to decide my favourite mix of powers

3 jaws can be very nasty for sniping characters even eldar characters don't like having to take 3 tests one fail and your gone each turn. Its great against sanguinary priests oh 3 initiative tests or no FNP

but it does a lot better against certain lists than others. so I tend to take a mix of powers so to be more effective against a wider selection of enemies

I really never rely on Rune Priest in cc. It is 4 power weapon attacks on the charge/counter attack, but they are at initiative so at the mercy of enemy power weapons at the same time. Most of the time when you are going up against a multi-wound model, he is an IC in his own right and able to smoke you before you even get a chance to swing to use the force weapon aspect.

I had a nice rune priest tactica article written up once and it relegated rune priest to a complete support role with extremely limited use as anything more then a gimmick in close combat. He doesn't have the close combat enhancing psychic powers of any of the other librarians, but very handy support powers in the form of his shooting and non-shooting psychic powers.
