Infiltr8r
I've been scouting this forum for a while now and have decided to slam my flagon on to the table and join in the brawl. I've been out of the game for about 4 years and started back recently because of the sexyness of the "new" codex. I'm basing my great company around erik morkai' fluff. So as standard I will have 2 scout squads. I'm thinking one sniper unit infiltrating and one mg obel unit possibly with a wg with cm. Thoughts? I bought some juggernaughts and decided to fur them up. I also think that a marine sitting on a wolf looks a bit comical and the description of the battle in Thunder from Fenris, where one of the wolf guard jumps off his mount, was epic. So decided to eventually have all mine standing/holding on for dear life, I have one modeled fully. . first "finished" one. the whole unit C&C welcome. Dewi Sant
Good work on the GS brother, however I'm not a fan of the TW surfing WG. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224241-fresh-blood/#findComment-2681225 Share on other sites
slmellon
I am doing the same thing with juggernauts, good idea on the ears never thought of using a plastic triangle as a base, will definitely try this. Kassill
Im sorry, but that first one looks like the Wolf is yelling "Aargh! You're jabbing my side!" Otherwise, I like em :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224241-fresh-blood/#findComment-2681390 Share on other sites

I saw yours. Very nice. Your head looks more wolfy. Some differences though: On two of mine I cut the neck short so the head is higher off the ground. I used plastic tube for the inside of the ears and cut it diagonally, glued them on and then applied gs. Nrthstar
I dig your first one man, I like the surf look, mostly because I recognize how impossible it is to get legs that will mount on those bodies. My friend played a chaos version of sw and bought juggernaughts for his wolves and we both brainstormed ways to actually get legs to straddle it, besides cutting legs off, sanding down the angles and then green stuffing them back on, it's rough. He opted to using the demon legs (chicken legs). Mounting your guys up on top gives them a very aggressive look that is far more practical and unique, nice work man!
