Discuss that dreadnought! I like it but is a bit Ripley esque.

I was thinking of a variant of a standard dred or a penitent engine combo, but to me it screams "We are more then meets the eye...."

First "StormPigeon" and now this... .

BTW, liked the old metal models storm bolters better... The ammo clips now look plain silly IMHO.

Love the PAGK and Draigo. Bit disappointed with the dreadnought and Terminators though. The dread looks sort of, unsturdy? Plus I like the old terminators, these ones are thinned down a lot more.

dreadknight or dreadnought?

Cuz the dreadnought is just a GK schemed Venerable Dread Kit.

My tohughts as posted in the other thread.

The DreadKnight looks nice, and will be good for converting.

The TAGK don't look anywhere near as good as the old Metal mins.

The Storm Bolters on the PAGK look unsightly large (but this could be mitigated by the magazines being a seperate part), and the Tesla Coils/Warp Vanes of the Personal Teleporters look lame.

I would have prefered a unique backpack to the usual SM one with some sticks...

I apologise, I meant the DreadKNIGHT. I can see myself getting very confused in future...

Yeah, love the dreadnought.

I have to say i love them all, especially the dreadknight, all from a conversion standpoint.

You could easily chop off the stormbolter magazine and do some conversions there as well as I will agree, it is quite large

The teleporters can also be chopped off and have some conversions done to them.

All in all, with some quick conversions, this will be an amazing looking army.

The only thing i dont like is the price.... $33 for 5 PAGK..... are they crazy!!

No need to cut anything off of the storm bolters, bearden. Look at the sprue pics in their product pages. The magazines in both the PAGK and GKT sets are separate from the storm bolters! GW actually did us converters a favour this time!

EDIT:The price is supposed to represent the options included in the kit, I think. With that one kit, you can make one squad of five guys. But that one squad can be a troops choice, an elite choice, a fast attack choice or a heavy support choice.

AH! I totally missed that when I was looking at the sprue..... yeah i can see why they priced it so high, doesnt mean i like it though <_<

woow im absolultleygonna start grey knights after im finnished with my BA army the dreadking is cool.

1question thoug. Is it huge or does it look like that on the pic?

EDIT: it wasent very huge i saw the man controlling it now

wait.... maybe it.s a huge man....

While I don't think the "pilot" is to scale, this should give you an idea

It is around the same height as a Trygon.

Not too bad, not sure I am a fan of any of the plastics, all those pointy bits are just asking to be broken off! Much prefer the old metals which I will be keeping (not surprising as I have a bezillion of them)! I do like the DreadKnight, sort of feels a little different from most 40k dreads which I like as it adds to the Knights unique character, can be a little action figure for Gloria to play with too

All in all, just pre-ordered the codex, DK and the boss dude so they are doing something right....will see how it goes and I might convert the DK into a more dynamic 'Kung Fu' sort of pose...

Check out Scibor btw, just released a really nice new 'sci fi knight' it will be going into my army as a 'counts as' without a shadow of a doubt

The PAGK look... about the same. The termies look... about the same.

THIS IS NOT A BAD THING. The old models are fantastic. And it means I don't need to buy any more, win.

I am definitely not buying Optimus Malleus though, for sure now. I just don't like it.

I'm inclined to agree with the fact that they look very similar. I also agree with the fact that the magazines stuffed into the sides of the stormbolters looks positively retarded. I'm happy about being able to simply use my old and well-painted termies in such a case, and gives me a reason to pop off arms, do a little touch up work and magnetize them for the just-in-case on the additional weapons. I'll still likely get a few boxes of each, and I might get Draigo as a 'counts as', so I can write my own damned fluff about him.

The dreadknight needs a conversion. The other releases look good :D

Don´t glue the legs on, instead make a "shell" for his legs maybe up to his torso, the hands imo could be left as they are. This would actually make it more of an exoskeleton, instead of a robot, some guy in terminator armour steers while hangning infront of it like a penitent heretic, ready to be crushed (to meet his salvation) when it smashes into some tyranid monster.

I am in despair.

Those of us who don't like the new Terminators are probably concerned that the collar comes down too low, exposing a whole helmet that has too little slope from crest vent to the nose, and that the bodies are too thin. Personally I don't like the new psycannon and psilencer very much yet, though I expect they'll grow on me once I write other rules for them. One looks like a heavy bolter machine with storm bolter caliber ammunition in a box, and the other looks like a repeating grenade launcher, and I can't yet tell them apart.

The chapter symbol on the left pauldron of the power armoured Grey Knights is distressingly small. It's neater, but I don't know what to do with all that empty space around that tiny little book - it would've been very nice to have engraving behind it or something.

Draigo is finely detailed, but once again his collar comes down very low, so he seems to look even more hunchbacked than any ordinary Marine Terminator, and his little white goatee is intolerable. I can't take that face seriously.
