Brother Israfil
Hello Brothers, aand thank you for taking the time to read this, and maybe you can help me with a small problem ;). In my local meta, I have been unable to have a list that doesnt bomb consistently. My main foes are a drop pod/Max-Cap Templar's list (and this player is very good at changing his list every now and then, so anything to help against Templar) and an IG player who loves Russ spam and Tin cans of Vets. There is also several armies that frequent buy that I don't have too much trouble with, but I am concerned with the newest addition of a biker/Seer heavy Eldar army as well as a Nurgle/Slanhnesh Deamons and CSM armies that I have hit and miss many times with. Now my little bit of pride is refusing to flat out say I suck ;), but tactics as well as selection advice is always warmly appreciated. My last questions is, is it too much to bring duel-pigeon AND Mephy at 1500? Or is it just too much for people to handle? As always, speedy comments are gladly appreciated, and will answer any questions ASAP. Good hunting Brothers.
Morticon
50% of your army in 3 models is not a good idea. At 1500 you want to bring as much as you can to the table as possible. Can you give us an idea of what you've been using up till now?

the jeske
well you realy shouldnt play DoA in tournaments it has too many bad match ups. IF you are going with a LR rush build then go with 3crusaders[specialy as your getting those cheaper] . libby should probably always have sword. as support goes devs are 5 man static which means if they have LoS to opponent army so does he to them and 5 meq die fast. MM attack bikes would be a better support unit. I just noticed . where are you priests and vet sgts with fists ? And I also dont understand what 5 man RAS are suppose to do in this list . I mean your not playing a razor spam , so what do they do ? they cant melee , single meltas arent good anti tank weapons , if they are body guard for the libby then there should be fist champs there[and priests] . Drachnon
His 5 man RAS are for the landraiders I believe however fielding them with a 5 model unit inside kinda limits their use as assault vehicles. I'd look into dropping one full sized RAS squad to increase the units in the landraiders to 10 as well as power fists for sergeant. Also remove JP from libby so he can ride in a landraider, 5+ cover on a landraider should be very frustrating for opponents. If you can free up 50 points after all that you can consider a priest. Do you mind telling us how you get picked apart? From the looks of it I think you have too few targets on the board. Land raiders are tough and all but you need to stay mobile and from what I see it's far to easy to knock the legs out from under your force. Brother Israfil
@Drachnon - Yea, i think that might work better. Making them a wee bit more survivable might actually help them get somewhere. Thanks. @knife&fork - Generally my raiders get templated or assaulted to death, and then everyone else usually is forced to take to many saves for their armor to pull them through. My biggest weakness has been having only a single 5+ invul save. Plasma tares me apart, especially when my IG friend brings an Executioner or 2. Dev's cover is the only thing that lets me keep a minimal amount of suppression fire going down range.
