Well, I decided my Lamenters could use a little more love, and while I'm waiting for more of their arrive, I decided I may as well try my hand at the Carcharodons/Space Sharks. I already have a small force I was building up for a miscellaneous marine army, and plenty of bitz to work with, so these two are just the start of it all!

First off is Captain Mokarran, who's still PIP!

(The red helmet crest/stripe is a simple homage to the classic Space Shark scheme and style)

Next is Epistolary Mustelus, who I just finished building moments ago out of boredom. Still needs a bit of cleaning.

Am I the only one, upon reading their fluff in IA 10, that thinks that the Carcharodons' TACSOP smells really pre-Heresy World Eaters? I mean, the signposts are all there, even with the red herring of the "uncommon Raven Guard markers", in addition to a great deal of secrecy, bizarre recruitment rituals, an abundance of religious devotion (as if using it to enforce an extremely rigid discipline in the face of, oh, say, instinctual habits?), and a casual disregard for sparing suffering among noncombatants?

Oh it's definitely a possibility, and I welcome it.

I mean, who doesn't love loyalist berzerkers?

Oh that's right. The enemy... :)

I can fogive the Carcharodons any hint of heresy and World Eaters etc because their special character has one of the best Terminator models I've seen, in fact one of the best models I've seen.

Those models are looking really good mega_marines, in particular I really like the Libby model, where's the staff from?

Also, the staff is made from the eagle top of the Command Squad box, and the banner pole and arm are from the same kit. The purity seals are from the Blood Angel Death Company box as well as the Tactical Squad Upgrade sprue.

Really like the libby. Are you planning a full army.

Why yes I am! ;)

I've got a 2,500 point list already set up to go too! Made for fluff, as I think the meta-game is just plain stupid, and it's always fun to run competitive lists into the ground with a list made for fun fluffy purposes

Hrmm...maybe thats why they were the only Loyalists I've ever been drawn to. Those Sharks look great!

Looks great, and yeah, love the term model from IA10. I need to pick the book up I think to have the fluff for this army.

Almost done with my Necrons, and was looking at a Space marine army to start. Was going between Space Wolves, Black Templars and Codex marines, then while doing some research, ran across the Space Sharks, which of course brought me to their new name Carcharodons.

I love drop pods, and from one of the old writeups on the Space Sharks was they were specialists at Drop Pod assaults, so looks like it will fit right in.

So looking at them now, will keep an eye on this also.

Unfort, the normal group I play with, we dont allow IA stuff, but thats not that big of deal, just cant get any special stuff with my versions, unless I play in a tourney where they are allowed. So need to figure out if one codex is better than another to have them use.

Really like the libby. Are you planning a full army.

Do I see the specific and genus names of a fair few sharks there? Chracarias - species name of teh WHite Pointe/Gret White Isurus? - mako sharks

At least at a damned minimum, there's a basecoat on everyone I currently have; not counting expected deliveries!

Ah thanks. That's what I tried using my failed Commander Sarpedon conversion, part of the failure was cutting the staff too short ;).

The new stuff is looking good (even if it isn't painted). The poses and modelling in particular is good. I hope you have fun painting all of that, keep us updated :).
