Gentlemanloser
Originally, I totally dismissed the Inquisitors. In the old 'dex, I only used to add one to a PAGK squad for things like a Null Rod, or maybe an extra Psycannon. But really to unlock an Assassin. But that's not required now, and to be honest, the Henchmen don't interest me in the slightest. But reveiwing the leaked 'dex, the basic OM Inquisitor started to fit together in a surprising good little package. If only he could take Rad Grenades... :D What caught my eye was a quite simple build; OM Inquisitor Terminator Armour inc Storm Bolter and Nemesis Daemonhammer Psycannon (to replace the Storm Bolter) This rocks up at the cost of two terminators! As long as thier stats and costs haven't changed to release, this gives me a 3W Terminator (all be it with T3, but that's somewhat mitigated by attahcing him to a proper Terminator Squad) with a Psycannon and S6 Daemonhammer (Unfortuneatley, without purchasing the Psycher upgrade, he can't use the Force Weapon of his Hammer, but you can't have it all! :P). Which as an IC I can attach to a squad of Terminators. To me, this seems a bargin! And I plan to drop two of Mordraks ghostly bodyguard to attach this guy to them. A nice little IC for a Grey Knight list, as long as you have a HQ slot spare! :ermm: (And not that I have the points to do so, I could always now utilise a single Henchman Unit. Not that I want to!) The Rose Princes
yeah, come in just under the cost of 2 naked terminators.... and will make said unit stubborn too. but still being an independent character makes him slightly vulnerable in cc (slightly, he is in terminator armor). would probably fit best in a purifier squad or a halberd unit. Gentlemanloser
I don't think Stubborn transfers across if the unit doesn't have it. :/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224746-the-humble-om-inquisitor/#findComment-2688428 Share on other sites
Ashe Darke
I don't think Stubborn transfers across if the unit doesn't have it. :/ The entry in the rulebook for Stubborn says it does transfer, woot! Chucku
Cool. I have just such an Inquisitor already built and painted. Pure win! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224746-the-humble-om-inquisitor/#findComment-2688481 Share on other sites
boreas
Against Nid (or other psyker-heavy), you can take a naked WH =I= w/psyocculum. For 50pts, you give a whole unit BS 10 vs psykers. Take a unit of 10 purifiers w/ 4 psycannons. You split this in combat squads and effectively have a unit that can have 5 purifiers w/ 4 psycannons and can almost auto-hit vs psykers. Not game-breaking, but nice! Phil Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224746-the-humble-om-inquisitor/#findComment-2688487 Share on other sites
