I'm effectively done aside from shuffling dates around so they're in chronological order, adding some minor bits and expanding on some of the battles.

 

Howling Griffons

 

Homeworld: Mancora

 

Fortress Monestary: The Proud Eyrie

 

Founding chapter: Ultramarines [Founded circa M.33]

 

Notable characters:

Orlando Furioso - Chapter Master (dec.) killed by the Daemon Prince Periclitor [approx. 220.M38].

 

Armand Titus- Chaplain (dec.) Gravely wounded during the Jorun Rebellion [143.M41]. Interred into a Dreadnought and later was killed during the Badab War on Khymara. [approx. 906.M41?]

 

Mercaeno - Chief Librarian (dec.) Banished Periclitor during 13th Black Crusade, fulfilling the oath.

Later killed by the Eumenes of the Renegade Soul Drinkers.

 

Alvaro - Current Chapter Master.

Badab War [mid-906.M41 to 909.M41 when they were relieved]

Jorun Retaliation [143.M41] NOTE: Right under the heading for this battle and it's date, in the article for the battle itself it says that it was in 109.M41.

 

The Howling Griffons, along with the Silver Skulls assisted the Salamanders in recapturing their Strike Cruiser "Forgehammer" from Commorragh [Circa M35]

 

The entire Chapter fought in the Tri-Unity wars, against the Orks on Gunnerdark, saving an entire campaign salient in defeating them.

 

Conduct rapid strikes, overthrowing the mad regent and bringing the Amar secession to a swift, bloody end. [951.M41]

 

Commit 8 companies in the 13th Black Crusade [998.M41]

 

Additional information:

 

Mancora has a higher occurence of psyker-births, leading to a strong librarium within the chapter. The Codiciers of the Howling Griffons police the people of Mancora, removing those with weak or unregulated psychic powers to protect against corruption.

 

Mancora also is home to the extensive forges of the Chapter, ensuring that such a highly active chapter remains well supplied and armed. The Howling Griffons' forges are notable for the fact that they are capable of manufacturing and maintaining some of the more uncommon Astartes Vehicles and Wargear such as the Land Raider Prometheus and Mk.VIII armour in notable numbers.

Certain functions within the Librarium have been shut down temporarily as we do some work in the background on revising the overall structure and methodology of the Librarium. This includes new articles. What you can do in the meantime is draft up your article as a regular discussion topic, which will enable it to be transferred over to an article once we "re-open" the Librarium.

 

You are more than welcome to write up any article you want, including an article on the Howling Griffons.

Hrm...and now I hit the snag, I've got pretty much all the information that I can find on this chapter aside from some other battles they fought in. Now, how am I going to go about doing this chapter datafile/article without it seeming too much like a Lexicanum article...

 

Getting the info was easy, condensing it all into an article/chapter datafile? ....Not so much.
