archangel23
Assuming you pass your leadership test, can you counter attack if you rapid fired your bolt guns. The rule seems rather vague. It says you cannot assault if you do so. It was a recent point of contention in a game. The GW FAQ's didn't offer an answer either. Nrthstar
You're not assaulting, so you can definitely use counter attack. Counter attack doesn't include any mention of counting as assaulting, it's a special rule, so it's not bound by the standard rules Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224806-rules-help/#findComment-2689006 Share on other sites

Chapter Master Ignis Domus
But when would this come up? How would you be assaulted during your own turn? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224806-rules-help/#findComment-2689029 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Alot of people miss that the majority of 'turns' out there are 'player turns' as opposed to 'game turns'. It is after all just one short sentence in a large rulebook. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224806-rules-help/#findComment-2689374 Share on other sites
CainTheHunter
You rapidfire in Your turn, but You can counter-attack only in Your opponent's turn, so yes, definitely. Bulweih
Sorry for the hijacking, but I had a similar issue last game. A Necron Lord can have sth. that negates all additional attacks for assaulting, does it negate the +1A from counterattack also? archangel23
A young kid was getting schooled by an older player. He was sure he was correct in this and I agreed with him. Just didn't want him to get down on himself. I hate Orks :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224806-rules-help/#findComment-2689472 Share on other sites
MalachiOfRuss
Ironically if your opponent has Defensive grenades, you won't get your +1A for Assaulting him on your turn, but if he attacks you then you'll get +1A when Counter-Attacking.
