Glendor
As far as I can tell almost all the grey knight HQs are in terminator armor except Crowe and well...ya. Anyways where do I put them I dont like raiders and I think Storm Ravens are wasted in a grey knight army because of our lack of awesome cc dreads. I could buy a 200 point unit of termies but I am afraid my opponent will just run away and then I have a ~400 point unit doing nothing. Possibly in a unit of interceptors or teleporting purifiers? thoughts? and if anyone knows of any other non terminator armor HQs please tell me Thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224808-tda-hqs/ Share on other sites
monkeyking
The Brother Champion is in Artificier armor (but has an Iron Halo for the 4++), so if all else fails you can use him if all you want is PAGK. Otherwise, invest in some servo skulls and a 5-man TAGK retinue to attach to and deepstrike those suckers in there like they got a pair. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224808-tda-hqs/#findComment-2689030 Share on other sites
Cpt_Reaper
I hear there is something called a brotherhood Champion but I am not sure what it is or how it works. They are selling the old PA Justicar model as it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224808-tda-hqs/#findComment-2689032 Share on other sites
SamaNagol
Give a Grand Master a Psycannon and footslog him in a unit of GKT troops with another Psycannon and Psy-Storm Bolters for the hardest Devastator squad in the game Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224808-tda-hqs/#findComment-2689034 Share on other sites
DinoDoc
Servo-skulls act as a homer if you dislike Land Raiders. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224808-tda-hqs/#findComment-2689104 Share on other sites
Valerian
Servo-skulls act as a homer if you dislike Land Raiders. Whereas a Homer means no scatter within 6", a Skull limits scatter to 1D6 if within 12" (like Descent of Angels), as I understand the rumors (haven't gotten to the store). Valerian Valerian is correct. Homers will always work with GKSS, GKT and Interceptors even if they are just Deep Striking which is cool. Brother Xeones
Anyone who knows: Is there any bonus for more than one servo skull and is that the only benefit that they confer now? And yeah, sounds like you're going to want to go with a Brotherhood Champ if you want to mechanize your HQ but don't want raiders or SRs (or you could go with an Inquisitor if you don't mind adding some =I= to your list). Joasht
More than one servo skull covers more area as each skull gives 12", so it provides you with more options where to "deepstrike safely". Rinion
Problem with skulls is that the self destruct if an enemy comes within 6" of one, so the later those termies Deep Strike the less chance you have of using one. Probably give him a master crafted Psycannon with Psybolts in a temie squad with psycannons and psybolts and shoot things while standing on an objective in cover while counting as scoring. Or scout.
