bionic_insanity Posted March 15, 2011 Share Posted March 15, 2011 The codex states that honor guard can replace their boltgun or boltpistol/close combat weapon for a different weapon such as a power weapon. Does this apply to the honor guard as a squad or to individual models? The Novitiate in our current codex is his own type (just like the apothecary in codex space marines) so can't take the Honor Guard upgrades. Does this apply to the honor guard as a squad or to individual models? The Honor Guard cosists of four Honor Guards and one Novitate, so the weapon options apply only to four honor guardsmen. Unless you upgrade one to Blood Champion then he is only entitled to his specific upgrades, which is why there are 3 separate statlines. If you don't upgrade one to BC, then you can have 4 LC/SS monsters keeping your SN safe and sound. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
