Just had a thought: My understanding is this: If my scout bike squad has a locator beacon in thier unit, I can use that beacon to deep strike a Land Speeder Storm within 6" of the bike squad. Sooooo..... The wording, to me seems open for interpretation. The codex entry states: 'if a unit wishes to arrive on the battlefield via deep strike and chooses to do so within 6" of a model carrying a locator beacon, then it won't scatter." So can my enemy also benefit from my locator beacon? Can they teleport a unit within 6" of my bike squad? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Which is also how the main rulebook FAQ describes it. If you paid the points for an advantage, it seems unfair that your opponent gets it for no points at all. Basically, you only benefit from your army, unless its clearly stated otherwise (for example, Chaos Daemons grant benefits to ALL models, as it claims on its codex).
