lothbrok
recently i took it upon myself to paint a friends wolflord while hes away, and becuase this friend for some reason actually likes the blue yellow paint scheme i've been painting him as such. however i find myself begging for Russ himself to smite my pot of sunburst yellow paint :) . Now on to the question is there anyway to make sunburst yellow actually work well, or another color that works for shoulderguards. thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224957-painting-question/ Share on other sites
Max_Dammit
I dont get the question 100% But if i think what your talking about than use 3 layers of bleach bone and 3 layers of sunburst. Kullvox
foundation paint: not sure the color but i think its darksun something base the shoulder in that first then build up your yellow color at least the undertone wont be shown through as black!!! Mac the knife
This has been the bane of my painting for awhile and the only real work around i found is an Iyandin (spelling?) darksun foundation then mix a 1:4 ratio of darksun to sunburst and if you want to brighten it up more use a final layer of sunburst. Dewi Sant
1. Paint the inside of the shoulder pad with Tausept Ochre. 2. Layer with a 50/50 mix of Iyanden Darksun and Golden Yellow. 3. Highlight the edges, adding a little Skull White into the mix. 4. Highlight by adding a little more Skull White into the mixture. 5. Job done, drink beer. My step one and your step 5 are the same, it helps to level out my hands some. I don't have my paints near, but I use the orange basecoat from gw, stuff works wonders. And I'm too cheap to go buy darksun Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/224957-painting-question/#findComment-2692216 Share on other sites
