BDS
This might be old news since the FaQ regarding Stealth being conferred to entire unit by an IC. But, I was looking again at my SW's for something different and I noticed that the WG Battle Leader can take a bike and Saga of the Hunter (conferring Stealth and outflank). So I am reading this that my swift claw biker pack, attached Wolf Guard, and IC with Saga of the Hunter (all on bikes) could Turbo and with stealth benefit from a 2+ cover save in the wide open spaces of the table top. The tactical abilities of this look pretty awesome. Saga of the Hunter can be given to either a wolf priest or a WG Battle Leader on a bike, attach to a squad of swift claws with a WG, and even another Wolf Lord on Bike or two. All would benefit from the 2+ save the way I am reading it, making them pretty much able to charge across the table and ignore almost all incomming fire prior to a multicharge into the enemy lines. Has anyone put this to use to date? 4RC71C FOXX
Unfortunately Saga of the Hunter "May only be taken by a model in power armour that does not have a jump pack or space marine bike" pg85 Codex Space Wolves. So I'm afraid that tactic is a no-no. Sigmund Hammerhand
No he can't take Saga of the Hunter on a bike since it's infantry only. EDIT... nevermind, ninja'd. I totally remember that now and located as I type. Twould have been quite nice! Of course an infantry IC, could end its' move within 2" of a bike squad that had made a special turbo move...thus forced to join them...and grant stealth with 2+ save...but much harder to pull off and very limited application wise. Freman Bloodglaive
Since only bikes and jump packs are excluded, can he take it while riding a thunderwolf? Outflanking thunder battle leader with fist and storm shield? That would be something that couldn't be ignored. Durfast Spiritwolf
Don't look for loopholes, little brother, it is not the way of the VI Legion. We have the best warriors in the (imaginary) universe and do not need such slights of hand to win!
