fenhold
This being my first challenge I've participated in, I'm excited to be done. -WARNING LOTS OF PIC'S- Here's a progress shot several weeks in. The Initiates are not all from one squad obviously. The power weapon initiates are to bulk out my options for special weapons. The bolter equipped initiates are to swell my ranks further as I only had enough for 4 ten man squads before. I'm sure someone is screaming "HERESY! because none of my Terminators have special weapons. I grabbed 5 at random out of the 22 I built recently to replace my antiquated metal ones. Here are the completed Initiates close ups of the power weapon equipped Initiates. Trignama
Congrats, very good looking models! I love the doors on the command rhino, where did you get them? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225026-lpc-completed/#findComment-2692387 Share on other sites
Lord Exedore
My guess: Forgeworld / http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-4000...LATE-SET-2.html These are ACE looking, especially the crosses on the banners and the small applications - way above tabletop std. Do you plan to use them actually? Great models! Keep them comin' Lex Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225026-lpc-completed/#findComment-2692399 Share on other sites
Brother Chaplain Ryld
Excellent work Brother. The painting and freehand work is very crisp and the conversions are excellent. Congrats on completing your L.P.C vow. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225026-lpc-completed/#findComment-2692444 Share on other sites

Firepower
Excellent work. The banners really stand out most of all: those shields and crosses have real depth, though I wonder if that's a result or painting or if they're well placed brass etchings? Highlights on the black are good. Seems you had trouble adding depth to your tabards and particularly the white Terminator helmets though. Oh well, as they stand it's more than enough to leave opponents drooling as your little black men cut (er...shoot, in this case) their way through their armies. Don't suppose you noticed that all the Power Armored boys seem to be looking slightly to the left? :D For future reference, it's remarkable how a simple turn of the head can add dynamism to a model, even when his weapon is pointed the opposite way. Otherwise you have 10 bolter armed marines looking like they're in a firing squad. Don't suppose you noticed that all the Power Armored boys seem to be looking slightly to the left? :D Yes some of the detail and crosses are indeed brass etch and some are freehand. I do agree about the depth of shading in the pics. The bone tabards and especially the white Terminator heads are blown out because of the lighting. They do look better in person. Up close there is a thin gray shadow around all of the detail on the heads and the weathering is completely lost in the photos for some reason.Good enough for tabletop pickup games in my book :P Perhaps there is a Adeptus Sororatas having a power armor wardrobe malfunction to the left flank. Yes I know that they are looking left. Most of my shootier brethren are looking to where they are firing, however some are "scanning the horizon" to the right also. BrotherSargeantDaro
Very nice! you and I paint alike, except you went the extra mile to Forgeworld. I'll have to do that. Congrats! Krikey
Love those terminators. I thought of doing the same with the templar tabards, pieced them together, and decided they didn't fit. But after seeing what you've managed to do, I'm going to try again. Very, very impressive. ~K Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225026-lpc-completed/#findComment-2693812 Share on other sites
Dennis
Looking good! And as far as I can tell, the first brother that has completed the vow no? marine77
I love you iconography and detail work. It is very precise. I love seeing different squad banners in an army. They give the units some differentiation. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225026-lpc-completed/#findComment-2694048 Share on other sites
