Well, looking at the latest FW newsletter I don't find anything that might be for SW other than the SM reference:

Newsletter #267 18/03/11

Hi there,

In this Newsletter we have a whole host of new releases for Eldar players: two variants of the Lynx Heavy Grav-tank and the eagerly awaited Shadow Spectres Exarch. We also bring you more details of what you can see at the Forge World Open Day and some exciting news about AdeptiCon and Salute 2011.

Thanks,

Ead Brown

Eldar Lynx Heavy Grav-Tank

Eldar LynxThe Eldar Lynx is an ancient war machine, much larger than the Falcon-pattern tanks more commonly found in an Eldar Host, yet smaller and faster than the mighty Scorpion and Cobra super-heavy Grav-tanks. The Lynx boasts potent firepower from a variety of weapons that are also found on the graceful Revenant Titans.

Lynx with Pulsar

A swift and elegant vehicle, manned by a single pilot and equipped with potent targeting systems, the Lynx with Pulsar is a deadly tank hunter. It is able to target the weak points of even the mightiest super-heavy war engines and is capable of high-speed flight due to propulsion technology far more advanced than the anti-grav systems used by the Imperium.

Lynx with Sonic Lance

The Lynx with Sonic Lance exchanges the anti-armour Pulsar loadout for the terrifying vibro technology of a Sonic Lance. In this configuration, the speed of the Lynx allows it to isolate and destroy infantry formations, its waves of sonic energy pinning the enemy in place and literally shaking them to pieces.

Both variants of this elegant resin heavy Grav-tank, designed by Daren Parrwood, are available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing 28th March.

Full technical information and background for the Lynx will be provided in Imperial Armour Volume 11: The Doom of Mymeara, but we have secured these experimental rules for the Lynx which you can download now to enable you to use its potent firepower and mobility in any Eldar army.

Eldar Shadow Spectres Exarch

The mysterious Aspect of the Shadow Spectres has only one surviving Shrine, which is situated on the isolated Craftworld Mymeara. Armed with a fell Prism Lance and arrayed in the ghostly panoply of an Eldar wraith, the Shadow Spectres Exarch is dedicated to the craft of ranged death, hunting heavily armoured prey with consummate skill.

The Shadow Spectres Exarch, sculpted by Simon Egan, is a detailed resin miniature that provides additional battlefield options to the Aspect Warriors. This unique model is available to pre-order now for despatch in the week commencing 28th March, while the already popular Shadow Spectres Aspect Warrior Squad is available to order now for immediate despatch.

Forge World Open Day Update

With preparations for the 2011 Forge World Open Day well underway here in the Forge World offices, we have more details of what our Studio teams will be showcasing on 3rd April here at Warhammer World in Nottingham.

With two separate Studio stands at this year’s event, the Forge World and Warhammer Forge teams are preparing an even more lavish display than ever before. The Forge World team have been hard at work in recent weeks, and these are just a few of the work-in-progress and future releases that will be on show:

Daren Parrwood has recently finished work on a huge Imperial Guard armoured transport vehicle, while Phil Stutcinskas is surrounded by Rogue Trader-era reference details, shards of plasticard, and Space Marines.

Will Hayes, having recently passed the mighty Phantom Titan over to Production, has begun working on slightly smaller Eldar upgrade components in recent days, and Stuart Williamson has turned his attention to Eldar of a slightly darker nature.

Paul Rudge’s Book Design team: Ian Strickland, Sam Lamont and Rhys Pugh, will be showcasing the work that goes into creating the lavish photographic art, maps, and colour profiles that illustrate our Imperial Armour books. A work-in-progress copy of the forthcoming Imperial Armour Volume 11: The Doom of Mymeara will be available for you to peruse along with an early proof copy of the very first Warhammer Forge expansion book, Tamurkhan: The Throne of Chaos.

The Forge World Open Day Painting Competition allows you to enter a single Forge World miniature of any kind to win the prestigious Open Day trophy, and you will also be able to play our popular Super Heavy Metal participation game, which sees a Venitarii Maniple of the Legio Gryphonicus ranged against the reckless hate of an Ork Stompa mob.

The ever popular Forge World Charity Titan raffle will once again be held at the Open Day, and in light of the recent and ongoing natural disasters in Japan, all proceeds this year will be donated to the WorldVision UK Tsunami Relief Fund. More details of this can be found at https://www.worldvision.org.uk/serve...3001&giftId=47 . Stay tuned for exactly which Titan will be raffled off in our next Newsletter.

Don’t forget that you can still place Reservation orders for collection at the Open Day, as this is the best way to ensure that we will have exactly the models you’re after waiting for you at the event. To place a reservation, please telephone the Forge World Customer Service team on 0115 916 8177. You’ll need your payment card details to hand as we are taking payment in advance of the Open Day, and we will also need an e-mail address for you. In the week before the event, we’ll send you a confirmation e-mail containing your order number and a total cost that you must bring with you to collect your order.

Salute 2011 Reservations Now Being Taken

London’s ExCel Centre hosts Salute 2011 on Saturday 16th April, and Forge World will be in attendance with a Sales stand bursting with resin kits, modelling supplies and books from both the Forge World and Warhammer Forge ranges.

We are now taking Reservation orders for Salute in exactly the same way as for the Open Day. To place a reservation, please telephone the Forge World Customer Service team on 0115 916 8177. You’ll need your payment card details to hand as we are taking payment in advance of the event, and we will also need an e-mail address for you. In the week before the event, we’ll send you a confirmation e-mail containing your order number and a total cost that you must bring with you to collect your order.

Well, looking at the latest FW newsletter I don't find anything that might be for SW other than the SM reference:

Yeah, mini wise it's looking like a space elf love fest. They could at least have a mini for one of the companies and feature that companies' iconography in some kits.

Oh well, hopefully there is some good fluff. It will be a "wait and see" for me.

No thunder wolf cavalry apparently.

I don't get why they don't release them. Judging from the incredible popularity and the fact that they seem designed to be the big seller of the Space Wolves, they would probably make vast amounts of money.

Imperial Armor - the books put out by Forge World.

Oh oh, I've seen these a couple times before, when I'm back into disposable income I'll have to start collecting these, I'm a fluff fiend

Then youll really want them. The Imperial Armor books are mostly fluff- alot of good fluff for that matter- and some historical scenarios.

As for the TWC, theyre not doing it because GW is going to do it, and GW doesnt let FW touch the stuff theyre working on.

No thunder wolf cavalry apparently.

I don't get why they don't release them. Judging from the incredible popularity and the fact that they seem designed to be the big seller of the Space Wolves, they would probably make vast amounts of money.

If I live to be 100, I'll never understand why they weren't released in our first wave (that looks increasingly like being our ONLY wave)

Yeah, I'd like to see a new IC. Someone with a unique new Saga would be cool (or just the addition of a couple of Sagas - there's lots of cool design space for Sagas that's largely unexplored).

New tanks are always neat, too.

It would be nice for GW to get their butt in gear then. I have a suspicion that Canis Wolfborn was released as a new HQ on a wolf mount to "test the market" for the general idea of marines riding big wolves. I suspect that if he sold well then they would have made releasing TWC models a bigger priority.

i would feel very cheated if all we got was this guy... when he was suppose to come out along side that wolf guard with dual wolf-claws. i'm starting to worrie that the wolves might not get allot, if any from this IA book.

Thats because a wolf never leaves Fenris.

SW collectors are notoriuosly die-hard, and i dont think they see it as a priority to give SW any shiny toys when other armies are being launched.

Either that or there waiting for the next lot of releases to be perfect - because they love SW too! :P
