Madcap
Working on some Obliterator conversions. You can read about them here. So, how much green stuff should I add? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225117-obliterators-wip/ Share on other sites
Keyboard
I think you should cover both hands in it, maybe put some claws or a weapon onto the fist aswell. Then do GS the arms, face, body and maybe the legs. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225117-obliterators-wip/#findComment-2693896 Share on other sites
mrtn
I posted a thread on this the other day where I show a conversion of the termie that came with WD when fifth ed was released. This would look more or less exactly like the AoBR termies. I made quite a lot of conversion work on it, since I have two real obliterators to compare with. The termies are quite a bit smaller, I bulked it out in almost all directions. See if you can get some knife/spear/sword blades to add to the arms sticking out here and there. Sgt. Blank
Personally, I agree with the need to bulk them out a bit, but would suggest using plasticard 'shims' at the joints. I did something similar with some very old (2nd and Space Hulk 1st Ed. promo) terminators and it helped bulk them out without making them too GS'ed. If you're anything like me, making square or flat surfaces is a huge challenge with GS, so I used materials that were already flat when doing a similar project. Here's what I mean - the pinkish areas and robes are GS. I think if you go overboard it starts looking like a nurgle model.
