Grizzly Adams
Haha I love the wings on that Deamon Prince! yeah, i wanted a winged daemon prince, but i didnt want it to take away from the look of the model, like big wings often do. So i used Harpy wings, and they actually fit quite well and look alright imho. Kinda gives him a Pete's Dragon kinda feel :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225340-papa-nurgle-protects/#findComment-2696861 Share on other sites

Chapter Master Ignis Domus
Those are some beautiful schemes, combined with the excellent conversions. I can't get myself to like the champion, though. He looks a little too much like a Nurgle Blob. mrtn
You need to shrink your pictures to about 20% of their current size. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225340-papa-nurgle-protects/#findComment-2698046 Share on other sites

It must be the termie arms on the champ, that is really all i did different. You need to shrink your pictures to about 20% of their current size. on my computer, they auto shrink to 22% of normal size once the page loads, does it not on everyone else's? if not i reckon i need to go back through them and shrink them, i thought everybody's auto shrunk Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225340-papa-nurgle-protects/#findComment-2698058 Share on other sites

Hrmm, that is actually the first time i have ever noticed the mold lines, but you are right, they do stick out pretty bad, and once you see em, they can't be unseen! may have to do some work on that... Grizzly Adams
OK, just finished my second Daemon Prince, I kind of went out there on the skin tone, let me know what you think http://cookevillebattlebarn.freeforums.org/download/file.php?id=320&t=1 http://cookevillebattlebarn.freeforums.org/download/file.php?id=319&t=1 http://cookevillebattlebarn.freeforums.org/download/file.php?id=324&t=1 http://cookevillebattlebarn.freeforums.org/download/file.php?id=323&t=1 And a pic of Pinky Standin next to Ol' Blue http://cookevillebattlebarn.freeforums.org/download/file.php?id=322&t=1 is the blue too much? But the loading itself can take ages if you don't have a good internet connection. They also make my Firefox lag on my ancient laptop. Even Paint has a feature to shrink pictures. You could also use Gimp or use an online picture resizer. And yeah you will get mostly comments on pic size unless you fix them :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225340-papa-nurgle-protects/#findComment-2699215 Share on other sites

I have broadband, but even for me it takes a couple of minutes to get the page to load. If I was stuck in the Australian outback with a monthly download cap I wouldn't be happy at all. The only reason to upload a picture as big as that is if you're expecting someone to view it at the original size. Since you're not, it's just rude. I'm not sold on the new skin, it's too turquoise for me. rottenlad
I like the blue color. Bright color splashes are a great way to make a nurgle force have little moments of ohhhh or ahhh. But if it is to blue for you might try a light dry brush of a lighter high light. Rotting flesh or skull white. either way keep rotting. Well, firstly, it's your army, you don't have to repaint anything just because I tell you. ;) But I wonder how it would look with a thin(!) wash of Leviathan Purple? Maybe try in a corner, see how you like it? I use purple wash quite a lot on my marines. Oh I know, just wanted your opinion on what you'd do, and i just am not sure if I am happy with it myself, its not quite as blue in real life as in the pic, but it still is pretty blue. I may give that a shot, see what it looks like.
