yowsaman
well since the new codex and miniatures are comming out in april i've been really excited of getting my grey knight army from under the dust :P i've allready ordered myself a stormraven and a dreadknight online to bolster my forces and started to begin re-painting and re-basing my allready owned figures. what i want for my grey knight army is really have them stand out on the field as they are the elite of the elite and desirve this kind of respect on and off the battle field in my opinion . that comes me down to this topic actually and question. i've been looking for a few day's now to find some inspiration for my GK GM. As i like the mini's GW is bringing out i dont really like the poses an current offers to make a really cool GK GM that can stand out in my Army. I dont really have the skills to make one myself with greenstuff so that is wy i have been surfing the net to find someone or company that can make me one. Well this seems difficult to find ^_^ i came across one company, scibar, that really has some cool miniatures. i allready mailed them if they do commission work but i'm still waiting for an answer. i really like what they have done with this one http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,galerry.php?art=547 but unfortanatly it aint up for sale. this one looks pretty cool also but its a shame it comes with a power fist and no storm bolter (GK's cant seem to use power fists, for hell wy do they need it with there force weapons) http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,shop.php?art=1061 it looks as if you can maybe swap the arm with another one, but as i said my skills arent that great and i would hate it to mess up such a model. So what do you guy's think? do you maybe have any other idea of online stores that have some cool models? or do you guy's know people that do really cool conversions? ps: money aint a problem  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225485-gk-gm-conversion/ Share on other sites

daismith906
I'm currently working on my GM conversion using marneus calgar terminator model as a base and go from there! Ill post some pics up later!! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225485-gk-gm-conversion/#findComment-2698728 Share on other sites
bearden441
I like using the Stern model as a GM with his sword arm cut off and a psycannon on his other arm. This way you can put whatever you want on your sword arm (halberd, staff, etc) or you could use magnets, but metal parts could be too heavy. SamaNagol
We have PLASTICS now! PLASTICS! If you have played Grey Knights for a while you will share the joy in not having to spend 5 hours dremmelling out detail and helmets from models to do conversions. PLASTIIIIIIIICS! Make your own GM. I will be. Just do a head swap, add more seals, add more detailing to the armour and build a fancy Iron Halo. / Edit: One thing I never understood: Why doesn't Scibor sell separate bare heads for 28mm sci fi knights? GK GM :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225485-gk-gm-conversion/#findComment-2698918 Share on other sites
RedemptionNL
PLASTIIIIIIIICS! Aye, that's the route I'm going for my Grand Master and Librarian. The new kits come with a decent amount of bits, so it shouldn't be too hard to customise them. I'm probably going to make the entire army helmetted, but the HQs unhelmetted to make them stand out. That and I suck at painting faces, so the less, the better. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225485-gk-gm-conversion/#findComment-2698922 Share on other sites

You have some Grey Knight Terminator Justicars that look really nice, plus the Paladin heraldry, plus sticking an Iron Halo if you think it is necessary. Magnus Thane
I'm just going to use the Special Hero terminator hero (already ordered him and the armbook), use him as a GM and dump him with helmet on in my old force. RedemptionNL
Some of the unhelmeted heads in the Terminator box seemed ok. I guess I'll decide when I get my order in. If they indeed suck I'll just go for an all-helmetted force. I always thought the unhelmeted thing was slightly silly anyway. And I can always just paint the helmet a different colour if they don't stand out enough. I really think that helmeted is best and that you can use the heraldry available(the books and the Paladin heraldry) can make for a really nice GM. SamaNagol
I sculpt detail onto the bare Chaos Marauder Horsemen heads. They are a great basis for any marine. Draigo? I really like the helmeted version of him. Anyone know if his Storm Shield arm is a separate piece? Would be a great basis for a generic GM if you could just glue a normal plastic arm on there. If not, I'll just stick with my Stern with Psycannon arm for my GM Valerian Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225485-gk-gm-conversion/#findComment-2699136 Share on other sites
