Brent
Greetings, brothers. On my way to scourging a foul infestation of Orks, a question came up and I couldn't find the answer anywhere. I've tried searching the forum, but am still without an answer. According to their codex, Ork Warbikes get a 4+ cover save at all times (due to the smoke they produce). My question is, do they get this cover save against ordnance weapons (a Whirlwind, for example)? Thanks, Brent Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225564-ork-warbikes-cover-save-vs-ordnance/ Share on other sites
JamesI
They would get the cover save, except against shots that ignore cover (like one of the Whilrwind shots specifically ignores cover) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225564-ork-warbikes-cover-save-vs-ordnance/#findComment-2699959 Share on other sites
greatcrusade08
thunderfire cannons are good for that, as are heavy flamers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225564-ork-warbikes-cover-save-vs-ordnance/#findComment-2699967 Share on other sites
Frosty the Pyro
The ordance property has no effect on cover saves, ever. What you are likely thinkng of is the barrage property, which which determinces cover from the center of the blast marker. However as ork bikes do not care where the shots are coming from for its cover save, so barrage will not help either. As stated above the only way to ignore that cover save is by weapons with rules that say they ignore coversaves, such as any weapon the "template" for range.
