Hell rifles

A 'Hell Rifle' is traditionally a 'Hot Shot' Lasgun. This is to say a las gun with a Hot Shot power pack. Any old lasgun will do, the trick is the power pack. Traditionally these are bulky backpack affairs.

So, se any old lasgun that catches your eye, then, add a suitably high-tech looking backpack, connect via some cabling et voila.

I'm chopping the barrel off the bolter (to which I swapped the bolt clip with an orc round cylinder drum, and added a marine scope and bolter stock) of my Inquisitor with book, and either adding a sniper rifle barrel, or a kroot rifle barrel. Personally I think plastic kroot rifles look pretty spiff ^_^ Granted it leaves a wierd one hand holding it out pose, but I suppose he can just rock old Western John Wayne style or something

Something western and antique, like from The Rifleman or like this picture of John Wayne twirling the rifle would look great if done right. Of course, if it's not then it just looks like the inquisitor is fumbling to not drop his gun. D'oh!

A hellgun with a Winchester style toggle link action chambering ... that's magnificent.

The Kroot rifle conversion described by Whitefireinferno has often been used for inferno pistols too, to indicate antiquated weapons wrapped in leather and other materials. It always looks good.
