Vezok the annihilator

Recommended Posts

ok im just looking for some more feed back into his slightly revised stats and possible ways to make him cheaper.

Vezok is a former dark angel Techmarine that turned just after the Horus heresy and joined the thousand sons just after he turned and trained in the legion for a millennium. He was latter exiled for he was not obeying the legion, and went looking for more knowledge and power, and this took him to serve alongside all of the main 9 legions(thousand sons, death gaurd, iron warriors, ect). when serving along side of these legions, he gained skills, strength and knowledge and also from each of these legions, an exulted warrior decided to join him in his quest for Knowledge, power, technology and destruction. Vezok now has an honour guard of chaos lords from each of the legions. Vezok is currently serving alongside the iron warriors and there for is currently wearing their colours. Vezok serves outside the legions, but sometimes does fight in the major battles with legion. here is his stat line:

HQ: Vezok the Annihilator

points: 700

WS BS S T W I A LD SV

7 5 6 6 4 6 4 10 2+

Wargear: Blessed armour of Tzeentch, daemaonkin graves, frag & krac grenades, gauntlet of heresy, staff of Horak, mark of the chaos gods, supernova plasma pistol, personal icon, advanced bionics, servo harness.

Special rules: And they shall know no fear, feel no pain, independent character, 3+ invulnerable save, eternal warrior, tank hunters, fleet, daemonic rage, bleesing of the omnissiah.

Daemaonkin graves

These special graves have the energy of a warp daemon and they have been forged from the metal of a fallen greater daemon's armour, the daemon with them lurks for the blood of the enemy, and propels Vezok towards them. The Daemonkin graves grant Vezok the special rule fleet

Blessed armour of Tzeentch

Vezok’s armour is a very strong, almost impenetrable armour that has been blessed by tzeentch that gives him gives him an armour save of 2+.

Gauntlet of Isstvan

Vezok uses a power fist called the gauntlet of heresy, as the name suggests it has been around since the begining of the Horus heresy and was once used by a great master of the Sons of Horus. The gauntlet of Isstvan is a master crafted power fist that rolls an extra D6 for armour penetration and adds +1 on the vehicle damage table.

Staff of Horak

Vezok holds the great staff of Horak, a legendary staff that was formerly the used by a lord commander of the Alpha legion. The staff was granted to him as a reward for recovering it after being in the spear head of a massive raid on an inquestorial fortress filled with objects and relics from the legions of the chaos space marines.

The staff is a master-crafted power weapon and also grants Vezok with a 3+ invulnerable save against psychic powers. In addition the staff grants Vezok with an extra D6 attacks when using the Staff of Horak.

Supernova Plasma gun

Vezok was formally an elite Dark angle tech marine before his betrayal to chaos so he has great skills that allow him to modify his weapons, which he did to his plasma pistol; it now glows red like the burning heat of a supernova (which is why he calls it the supernova plasma pistol) it uses the following profile:

R24" S8 AP2 assault 2, rending, gets hot!

Advanced Bionics

Vezok has many technological and daemonic enhancements which further enhance his stength and resilience to mortal weapons. Vezok's bionics give him his toughness and strength of 6.

Mark of the Chaos gods

because Vezok has served alongside many legions he worships all of the chaos gods as far as possible. Vezok counts as having all of the marks of chaos which are included in his profile.

Daemonic rage

Vezok is filled with such rage of greater daemons and the hatred of everything that isn't chaos. Vezok’s rage is so berserk that when charging towards an enemy he gains the power of the greatest of daemon through himself as he readies himself for slaughter. This rule grants Vezok with D6 additional attacks when he charges into assault and also if the enemy he charges is not fearless they must take a leadership test or strike with -2 inititive(to a minimim of one). Also, Vezok must roll a D6 before the begining of his turn, and if the result is 3 or less, he counts as having the rage USR, and on the result of a 4+ he acts as normal.

Servo harness

Vezok wears an ancient servo harness that he acquired from his days as a techmarine within the Dark angels and it has been refitted with weapons many times since.

this servo harness is fitted with two servo arms, a twin-linked plasma gun and twin-linked melta-gun. Or if he wishes he may overide the weapons and cause the wepons

to teporarily combine into a much larger weapon which can be fired in the same way as a conversion beamer but it counts as gets got! and Vezok AUTOMATICLY suffers

D3 S8 hits with no armour saves allowed. the D3 is rolled by the controlling player.

and one other consideation is that i could field him with the same stats as abaddon but with slightly different wargear for lower point games. i have already made his model and can show it if required.

If you are going to make a character anywhere near this powerful, I honestly think you need to take a leaf from the Blood Angels codex and not give him Independent Character so he can't hide in squads, jumping from one to another. Toughness 6, 4 wounds and a 2+3++ and eternal warrior the guy is just unstoppable in melee for anything short of a Bio-Titan and if you can't shoot him because he's hiding in a unit he's unstoppable.

I very much doubt you'll get anyone agreeing to face him as he stands.

Seconded; a Monstrous Creature statline doesn't fit with the IC rule.

i know what you mean by saying i shouldnt give him the IC rule but consider this: he has rage, so the squad will have to go with him, also the majority toughness rule staes that you must take the majority toughness of the squad and any characters that are in it and so its bad to put him in any squad but things with the same toughness.

the only reason i put the rule in is because his honour guard..
