Seahawk
So I've been holding on to my storm raven for a few months, waiting to build it til I can actually use it (which is happily very soon now!). I converted my turret and hacked down the scoop liner, and I like how it's turning out. For the turret I simple turned it around, cut down a couple extraneous bitz and added some plasticard and a sensor from the Aegis gun line. Otherwise it's built right outta da box, which makes me happy as it's very little effort for an infinitely better looking turret. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_7255.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_7257.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_7258.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_7259.jpg Oh, and can you believe those wings and engines aren't even glued on? NemFX
Turret looks good, gonna do any other conversions? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225785-gk-storm-pidgeon/#findComment-2702682 Share on other sites
Seahawk
Maybe. Nothing else really needs it though on here, at least to me. I'll make it so all the doors can be opened (or removed, heh) and I can swap the hurricane bolters at my leisure. I wanted to have different bits so the pilot would be a Grey Knight instead of a techmarine, but I don't want to buy a box of the new plastics just for that. Seahawk
Scratch that; decided to magnetize the wings for two reasons: easier transporting, and for a more awesome look when it's wrecked. Took a little bit of trimming down and removing some plastic right where they were being placed, but overall an extremely simple process (again). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_7261.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_7262.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225785-gk-storm-pidgeon/#findComment-2703574 Share on other sites
Seahawk
More! I've basecoated the vehicle. As you may notice, I want to paint it grey instead of silver; this is for a variety of reasons (the main of which is that it's easiest! :cuss). The canopy isn't glued on yet, but as I wanted to finish the highlighting before I attached the clear piece I needed it together. I like how it's turning out so far! I've also painted the interior, to the degree which it'll be seen (usually never haha). I'm also glad I still have Green Ink, as it was perfect for the HUD inside. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_2772.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_2773.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_2775.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_2777.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/veritas117/100_2790.jpg That's clearly not my Grey Knight Warhound titan in the background. :cuss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225785-gk-storm-pidgeon/#findComment-2719400 Share on other sites
