Wayward
Hey there, finished my first Deathwing squad... Been looking for the right bone tone for years, and I think I finnally got it. Through all this time, many great artists on this very forum served as inspiration to achieve whats below these words. Thanks to you all! http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/436/zakielsquad.jpg http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/691/zak00.th.jpghttp://img140.imageshack.us/img140/7706/zak01.th.jpghttp://img850.imageshack.us/img850/7403/zak02.th.jpghttp://img847.imageshack.us/img847/1240/zak03.th.jpghttp://img846.imageshack.us/img846/5205/zak04.th.jpg

Wayward
Thanks a lot lads! Now to the data. The daggers were not my idea, as I said above, I took inspiration from many great artists in this forum. In this case it was Bevulf's idea, the hilt is a normal DA vet dagger, and the sheaths are from some old space wolves sprue. I had a friend that lended me some, and the rest I'll need will be cloned at home, but they should be found on ebay. Bone recipe: Heres a problem. I dont do GW paints... I use local brands form were I live, Argentina. But, with citadel colour chart on screen will try to do an aproach: *Base: Khemri brown *Layer: Commando khaki *Layer: Bleached Bone (Here you have to try to leave some Khaki in the lower/darker areas. Yes, it will look blocky but thats not a problem.) *Gyrphonne Sepia wash (this is really a shot in the dark, I really cant tell if it will look like the wash I used, because mine is a mix of acrylic wax, water and some paint...) Once everything dried up, I gave it a *Layer: Bleached Bone (but is a weird one, in some areas it was a 3rd layer, in some it was the first highlight. You have to work it as you go along with it I guess.) *Highlight: B. Bone/Skull Whit 50/50 *Highlight: B.Bone/Skull White 25/75 *Get some rest! :)
RamrodMC
There can never be enough Deathwing. In particular, there can never be enough awesomely painted and converted Deathwing. You've really captured the look of them from the Deathwing-related art. Big thumbs up.

The 40k Hobbiest
I never thought that I would ever describe an eight-foot tall genetically enhanced superhuman in several tons of armor and carrying a machine gun that shoots .75 caliber rocket-propelled rounds as "pretty," but here we are. Isiah
Wayward... they look awesome. I love the classical white bias to your bone colour and teh red weapon/claw blades. I also like their personal tilt plate heraldry. Cheers I
Seth the Dark
They look very nice. It might inspire me to work on a Deathwing army of my own!
Wayward
Thanks all lads, hope the bone recipe I typed make some sense... @Seth the dark: Go ahead and inspire yourself, thats the idea of posting pics IMO. Be sure to chek Vansan and Vadskær works too, they were, among others, inspiration for me.
Freakiq
I love how you made them a bit darker than usual. ;) Most Deathwing tend to be way too bright and end up looking like white chocolate.
