Spiny Norman
Hi all, I'm thinking about getting a vise for bigger modelling projects, such as sawing. I'm also hoping to get dremel soon, and so I figure a vise will be pretty much essential for that. What I'm not really sure about is the sort of vise I want. The only thing I know is that I need rubber pads or similar for the jaws to protect the minis, etc. I've found this on ebay, is it the sort of thing I need? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT If anyone can give any advice it would be greatly appreciated! Montuhotep
Well, you certainly want something with a decent clamp to fix it to your work bench for sure, I've even seen people actually screw or bolt the things in place so that they don't shift around any. As you say, rubber coatings on the jaws are a must - I forget how many minis I've chewed up just with the blank steel ones, but it must run into double if not treble digits in money terms.
