Non-GW henchmen/inquisitor models

So the Henchmen and Inquisitors present a good oppurtunity to branch out from GW and try some miniatures from other companies. B&C are a resourceful bunch, so I thought I'd start a thread with the hopes of people making some reccomendations on non-GW to use as henchmen or Inquisitors.

For instance, I plan to use This Guy as my Coteaz.

Some things to consider:

The minis would have to be fairly representative of the unit entry, so similar looking weapons or alternatively, sometyhing that can have its weapons swapped.

I imagine there should be plenty of sword/shield models out there to represent crusaders.

I'd personally really like to find some cool looking female miniatures to represent acolytes, preferably with easily swappable weapons so I can chuck meltas/plasmas etc on them. Some kind of Ninja woman to represent DCA's would also be nice.

So - who on here has branched outside of 40K and can make some reccomendations? Non-40K GW miniatures can also be reccomended.

I think even some kit-bashed GW mini's should be considered.

I'm looking for a different Coteaz since I really don't like the model he has currently.

The space marine Master of the fleet *could* work ok, but it's not "action-y" enough for my tastes.

I've got a cypher model that I would like to use, but not sure quite how. My Henchmen are most likely going to be DKKoK, with a commissar as a Xenos Inquisitor.

PS: That model looks awesome, but not space-y enough for me.

My old Inquisitor Lord will most likely count as Coteaz. His Psycannon arm is magnetised, swap it for a bolt pistol and we're almost there.

Someone suggested these for DCA.

Reaper has an interesting range also. Warmachine in general has some good mix of stuff. Even GW fantasy has some good ideas.

I think Inquisitor warbands are going to be very interesting on the table.

Just beware that at tournaments and GW stores they won't let you play with them.

Can't realy understand why people don't like Tourqemada Mini from GW.........He's awesome....

@RLS:

Intent is nice, but this is an Termi PsyCannon.........just doesnt fit in sice........just tu bulky....its yours, then its OK...

btw

this Hell Dorado Pal is just a great one.......not that far from the GW one..........nice Base for DIY

I had a look through the Infinity range yesterday and saw a few nice female models, but none of them would make good henchmen IMO. The Joan of Arc mini would make a great inquisitor though.

Someone out there must have some 1773 non-GW skills and know of some good female minis for henchmen?

I went to Coolminiornot.com and they have a built in store that represents MANY diff mini lines. I went there for this exact reason but unfortnately I didn't have very good results, I was looking for female assassin types and they are pretty limited from what I found.
I'm probably going to bit the bullet and get a Death Korp of Krieg Grenadier squad and give three of them melta's... hotshot lasguns and I have some melta's layin' around...

I am getting 20 DKKoK models for my henchmen, but dunno what sets to get!

The Grenadiers have different backpacks and lasguns yea?

For the couple of years that I was planning and buying the minis for a daemonhunters army (but had not got to painting before the new codex hit), I was looking very hard at a fair number of the Anima Tactics line for female henchmen, and currently still for use as warriors.

Other lines to look at would be Hasslefree, or, if you want to try your luck on Ebay, one could go with the old metal Rackham Confrontation minis.

For my crusader henchemen, I will use Brettonian Men-at-arms.

For my Death Cult assassins, I will convert the new wyches somehow.

And this is my Coteaz

First post on this forum, thought it was time to stop just lurking around and never contributing :)

The Grenadiers have hot-shot lasguns (and one guy with a grenade launcher, one with flamer, and a LT with a chainsword and pistol) I plan to use my "spare" marine melta's for those three odd balls and go from there. I don't own the models so I only know what I saw on the forgeworld site!
