zeroashram
I based these marines on modern day special forces (SF,Rangers,Seals,PJs,Force Recon etc). Being as such, I didn't use any shoulder pads and the plasticard sheets on them and the helmets represent velcro. The pouches are from 1/35 scale military models. I use these models just for display. Thanks for looking. Any C & C are welcome. http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/3474/80171737.jpg Right: Used the old SM Scout Biker Bolter. Unfortunately, I only had 3 before GW discontinued their bitz service. http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/9034/31743133.jpg http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/9206/57096560.jpg Left: The tube on his back is a reload for his missile launcher http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/5382/32955762.jpg http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/2194/55944777.jpg Center: I used IG comm packs to represent squad leaders http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/6120/71659049.jpg http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/9003/21822776.jpg http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/1903/67960992.jpg http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/1832/98501709.jpg Center: This model represents the squad's TACP (Tactical Air Control Party). http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/2345/94339570.jpg http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/4083/98749898.jpg http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/2184/60360460.jpg http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/4868/39463579.jpg http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/6831/43142548.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225842-special-forces-inspired-space-marines-wip/ Share on other sites

cathar the great
While I'm not a fan of the uber-cluttered Marines with all the packs and gears, that Heavy Flamer must be one of the greatest representations of that weapon I have ever seen. I hope you don't mind if I steal that idea? ^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225842-special-forces-inspired-space-marines-wip/#findComment-2703697 Share on other sites
snorkle
Great Marines, I made some myself a while back, but they're not even close to as cool as yours. Seconded on the flamer Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225842-special-forces-inspired-space-marines-wip/#findComment-2703754 Share on other sites
GooseDaMoose
This is really great! I always think marines without pauldrons look funky but these definitely rock the look. Congrats! Hyaenidae
Nice job, brother. Looking forward to seeing some paint on these dudes. All you need now is a squad of Rangers air-assaulting out of a Land Speeder Storm.... zeroashram
Thanks for all the replies. -Crimson Fisting: I made it out of 2.5mm Round Rod from Plastruct -DirtyDel & mogluk: I started out the same. I made about 7 IG models using cadian chests and SM scout legs. I will post a pic as soon as I can. These guys came about after making a single model to represent mercenaries. It just went on from there. I was going to paint the models using these pictures as guides. Although I might substitute flat khaki brown for the multicam. http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/6134/297193.jpg http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/8351/297215.jpg http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/5929/35lvlgkcopy.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/225842-special-forces-inspired-space-marines-wip/#findComment-2704479 Share on other sites
