Wow! Your finished models are going to be pure sickness!!!!

I love the look of them and some of your little touches are dead on (Like the bolter slung tight across the marines chests, etc. )

Can't wait to see them progress!!!

Awesome job. B)

Wow, very impressive. I've wondered if the bulked out chest with all the bitz could be pulled off and you did a marvelous job.

I suppose if you do the OD scheme for colors, they could be Raptors.

Anyway, please do carry on, these are wonderful looking.

Cheers,

Wow man! Those are awesome! Like a lot of people here, I've alosothought of doing this for a while but never made the plunge. I applaud your conversion skills ;)

I was wondering what are the seemingly random pieces of plasticard stuck here and there on the models? Are they mag-plate to "stick" gear on them?

Anyways, I hope we can see more of you work soon, especially those scouts or a couple of the marines with paint on'em!

Love 'em mate, they look damned good!

More likely to be patches, things like IR, regiment, country flag etc - or at least in real life they would be. :P

-Brother Caedrius & CaptinLoken: I used 1/35 scale military model pouches. I bought about 7 or 8 various kits and basically kept the pouches, knives, and flashbangs or smoke grenades.

-Dorns_fist: I used Plastruct 2.5 mm plastic rod and cut the original barrel off of the bolter. I drilled it out and beveled the end.

-Jpwyrm: Like Pulse said, they represent velcro. Operators use them on their uniforms to put their unit patches/blood types/country flags etc. If they are more covert, they can just take off them off. The little boxes on their wrists or biceps are GPS and the ones on their helmets represent IR beacons.

These models I made out of SM scout legs and cadian/catachan parts. I was using the larger 40mm bases so I could have more elaborate bases. I'll probably switch them back to regular bases. I'm not sure if I like the barrels of the las guns and might cut them off and replace them with a thin plastic rod. I had originally made it like this to make it more realistic.

center: I based this model on the Pointman character "Lake" in Tears of the Sun.

Hmm, not sure if SM would really use velcro on their armour... but I get what you were trying to do and I love the IR beacon idea. Those scouts look great, though I must say I'm not a fan of the "modernised" weapons. Thanks for sharing those with us, they're full of creativity and inspiration!

Cheer!

All the models look good so far. I am not a fan of the lasguns on the scouts unless that is what they are supposed to be. I would change out the weapon completely or at least change the barrels and clips to more closely give the impression of the weapon the really are armed with.
I really like the bolters. Especially the ones with forward handle gives them a really Spec Ops feel. What I would suggest for the barrels though is to do them a bit more like sergeant Telion. With a thicker silencer like tip. Just my opinion though. Nice work.
