We are Legion
I've rummaged through the internet and can't seem to find a suitable picture of a Stormraven or Valkyrie base. My question is, when attaching the flying stem to the base, would it be best to have painted the black plastic beneath it so the transition between the basing materials and the clear plastic won't be as noticable? or should I just go ahead and glue the stem onto the black plastic and then worry about basing? Seahawk
Paint will greatly weaken the bond between the stand and the base, so I wouldn't suggest it. Unless someone is giving it the evil Golden Demon eye, it goes unnoticed anyway. chromedog
Would depend a lot on the type and viscosity of the glue you are using, really. Some polycements WILL strip the paint as part of the softening of the plastic (The polycement I use does this). I paint, then glue. Haven't had the base separate from the stem yet.
