Did you strip it first or are you painting over the black? It's not actually salt masking, it was just an old rubbish Airbrush I had laying about. I've never got it to work properly, but in this case I took a gamble and in return it's given me a really nice effect on the Armour . The Eagle was done using a sponge though, gave it a really nice texture. Nope, just painting straight over the black it was just an undercoat in the first place. And the free hand does work very well on his shoulder pad and the freehand on his leg. Nice faded gold aswell what was your method for that ? Thanks Sigfeird, the gold was a painted Bestial Brown, then Shining Gold was sponged on, followed by Burnished Gold, then finally Mithril Silver.
