Angels Encarmine markings?

Hey all,

I was browsing the successor chapters the other day and realised that the Angels Encarmine example in C:BA was an assault marine but wearing a red, rather than yellow helmet. Is there any cannon on this chapter's markings? I know they have different looks for their DC and SG, but I wonder if this is extended to the rest of the chapter. If there isn't anything official, I was thinking maybe apply the white instead of gold, and maybe apply the assault and dev colours somewhere else on the model, like the chest eagle. Thoughts?

Im not sure on previous cannon, but at the top of pg 80 in C:BA it says:

"The Blood Angles have many Successor Chapters who follow their precursor's herladic schemes, just as they do their traditions..."

Although it wont be a massive leap to assume that Vets used white instead of gold (baed on their SG colours) as a identifying colour. Also the photo showing the RAS has a yellow chest eagle - so again your idea of coloured eagles rather than helms would, in my book, be perfectly possible.

To me it looked like they used transfers signifying unit designation instead of helmet colors (yellow skull on helmet), other than the alabaster SG and DC. If it was me and I was feeling lazy I would just paint the helmet stripe in the 'proper' colors. As far as a canon look, In Codex: Angels of Death all it really says is "vermilion colored armor with with a yellow chest eagle, black trim and backpack. So, you have plenty of room to work with while staying in canon I would say.

Eavy Metals been doing a pretty bad job of things fluffwise since 5th edition - take a gander at all the beautiful 2nd company Sternguard/Vanguard/Terminators in the vanilla dex (altho the rot really started with 4th editions nicely painted White Consul 9th Company Tactical Squad..). So I wouldn't pay much heed to that assault marine. Given how dark his armour is I'd also bet good money that he started out as an Angel Vermillion - them fellas supposedly all have yellow/gold skulls on their helmets.
