Inquisitor Lord Sean
Ok this is driving me crazy... I hate shiny figures so I went to the gameswork shop site and started reading there daily blog thing and saw this guy painted grey knights that where bright silver but dull looking which I like so I read the page and he did it like this black undercoat then sprayed boltgun metal then chainmail.. Then he washed it in asureman blue and Badab black wash then he highlighted it with mithral silver so I tried it and it came out shiny so I simple greened it got all the paint off and tried it again... It came out shiny again so can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong because it's driving me capital NUTS!! I mean it didn't even come out anything like that guys I don't know it might have come out like that because he's using a plastic mini and I'm using a metal one or could it be because he used a airbrush... Maybe I should just keep my grey knights grey. Sorry for the rant. Durus
Use a matt varnish. GW's spray is satin matte, i.e. not completely matt (and also accident prone). averykess
When you are done with all your painting, try a coat of Testor's Dull Cote. It should flatten the finish.
