ObsidianIchor
I just finished putting together my new captain with a little conversion work. It's only held together by green stuff right now, so if need be, I can still modify it. http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x341/ObsidianIchor/miniatures/captainFrontAngled40.jpg http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x341/ObsidianIchor/miniatures/captainFront40.jpg http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x341/ObsidianIchor/miniatures/captainBack40.jpg My current plans are to add more purity seals in several places. In theory I'd also like to add some detail in either extra bits or green stuff to both the armor and the relic blade and the storm shield. My minimum plans for the storm shield are to add a small bit on the back of it to be the "generator" for it and at a minimum paint it up nicely. I'm also about 50/50 on using the studded shoulder plate. I don't have much experience with modeling green stuff, so any advice on that front would be welcome. What would be good as either bits or modeled using green stuff to add to the armor, shield and relic blade? I plan on running him with Artificier Armor, so I'd like that to look the part. Additional plans are to magnetize his backpack so I can switch between a jump pack, normal backpack, and a "heavy flamer" backpack so I can try him out as a counts-as-Vulcan (3+ save, relic blade, heavy flamer all obviously shown on the model). Thanks! Edit: My chapter is the "Brotherhood of the Bloody Wing," in case you needed an idea on motifs. Chapter colors are red and white. Standard marines are all red except for the inset portion of the shoulderplates. I can really use any combination of red and white on special models. For example, my simpler captain is in all white armor with a few red details and red-bladed power sword. I figured to add this in case any of you would need these details for giving advice. NemFX
If you can, I'd suggest you turn his head and legs so they are facing the same way as the spear more.. But otherwise, it looks good :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/226135-captain-with-relic-blade-and-storm-shield/#findComment-2707847 Share on other sites
ObsidianIchor
The head I can do. The body in relation to the legs, not so much. The loincloth is over a far as it can go in relation to the legs. Astrum Vinco
Instead of trying to move the body and legs, just trim the arm so that it faces the direction that the body is charging. SanguineSon
I like it! Kind of reminds me of the Iron Snakes with their sealances and combat shields.
