Sisters of Battle incoming?

Dunno, but word on the street is that my Arbites are in.

I'm totally gonna hafta model up a repressor with cherries on top and a black and white paint scheme.

Cultists also appear to be a go. I'm now going to take advantage of my solitude and dance around the office.

I mentioned in one other thread I've heard that SoB were mentioned on a sales brief for 2011... but it was at one of the shops I don't normally frequent. Sadly of course this means that I just have no money or way to buy models since they appear to be releasing all three of my armies in the same year or two (Grey Knights/Inquisition, Sisters, Tau) which is irritating to say the least :P

I may swap over to my growing Blood Ravens force at this rate simply because they stay the same! That or just embrace the Grey Knight one and get back into Sisters when I can afford new models...

I think Sisters will be more about Ecclesiarchy and not Hereticus.

You'd think that, but if Arbites are in there, anything could be. We just have to hope it's a fake.

I doubt it's a fake. Most likely an early playtest, like the first GK codex release. I doubt the inclusion of Arbites is the harbringer of any extreme changes, they have been with them for quite a long time. They are both first line responders and so it makes sense that they will be paired together. Infact, I can see a similar design to the GK codex as to what the SoB codex might be. The core of the book will be focused on sisters, expanding their line and making emphasis that they are the core army for their mission: the conflicts of faith. However, they are ultimately directed by the Ecclesiarchy and/or the Inquisition and thus will have additional support elements from them, hence Arbites. Then it is your choices on weither you will take advantage of these additional elements or "keep things in house".

There are metal Arbites in the Necromunda line (Enforcers)... plastic ones would be juicy sweet ;)

Of course, then we'd have lots of people running around going "I AM the Law!" and trying to get red helmets and hoverbikes.. but it could be worse.

But... what if you ARE the law? :D

Would be the cruelist April fool ever. That aside, I like what I see. Few typos and stat mistakes (hand flamers AP5) cast more doubt as well as the general look of it, but it could be VERY early in the development process. Part of me does wonder if, given that the hand scrawled notes added some credence to the GK dex during discussions, somebody did just scrawl those on to achieve the same effect?
Interesting, but regardless of the day it is you can't put much stock in early rumour until we see some more anyway. No heavy flamer for SoB squads would make me sad.

We've always got the Witch Hunters codex, so as long as we get new, good miniatures, I'm happy. And getting plastic SoB, Repressors and maybe plastic Arbites would make me happy.

Like Alex said all I really want is to see some new models, until then I don't really care what is leaked or made up by rumourtards.

Though on a closer inspection it starts to look poorly done. Those "hand notes" seem to be written for no purpose and the fluff seems to wander aimlessly like someone doing a presentation with no notes. Whether that makes it look more or less legitimate is up to you to decide
