Boo, was wondering if there was a way to get rid of that annoying force field!

Ok still on the topic of Big Meks gave me an idea, their forcefield gives vehicles a 4+ cover save. Could our Libbies Shrouding do the same?

The rules say that if not in cover the unit gets a 6+ cover save. Now if their a vehicle what save do they get?

The Kustom Force Field is a cover save, not an invulnerable save, so a Shield Breaker does nothing.

Vehicles are handled just like any other unit with shrouding; 6+ if they're not in cover, +1 to their cover save if they are in cover.

Yeah Vindicare only breaks Iron Halos and the like, it needs to be an actual invul save and it needs to be from items or wargear (so natural invul on Daemons for example can't be nullified by Shieldbreaker). On the plus side, hit that Big Mek with a turbo-penetrator to the face and laugh.
To add to the discussion about the big mek...he gives infantry an Inv (5+) not cover. Vehicles count as "obscured" which in 5th means 4+ cover..

Thats kinda my point. The power says it gives friendly units a cover save, however vehicles dont get cover saves, they get the obscured rule. So if an a Libby uses this to cover a vehicle what benefit will it have?

The Big Mek's Kustom Force Field gives infantry a cover save, not an invulnerable save (Page 34, Ork Codex).

Vehicles do get cover saves; the obscured rule you reference specifically and repeatedly refers to them as receiving cover saves (page 62, BRB).

The shrouding will give your vehicles out in the open a 6+ cover save, just like the Blood angels give their vehicles a 5+ cover save with shield of sanguinius. The only reason why the orks vehicles are obscured is because it specifically states it so under the kustom force field description in the ork codex
