Gentlemanloser
Servo skulls are Awesome! Cheap and can totally nulify an opponents Alpha strike, by prohibiting Scouting and Infltrating. Take enough of them, and you can effectively pin your opponent in thier deployment zone. My question is, if you have some within 12" of the board edges, can you stop units using thier Scout rule held in reserve from deploying by Outflanking becuase of your Servo Skulls? Barjack
Servo skull rules state: Enemy infiltrators cannot use thier pre-game move with in 12 of the servo skull. Out flankers are declared and kept in reserve until they are rolled for and they come in therefore they are not a pre-game move. Spacefrisian
Seems somewhat pointless if you ask me, eg most players choose outflank over regular Infiltrate in most cases anyway. Not to mention that SW scouts call it something different in all regards. Flinch
Something related: do servo skulls stop enemy units from entering play from the sides or rear (outflank) after the first turn? or does their deployment denial ability only work before turn 1? Do they stop enemy deep strikers? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/226240-can-servo-skulls-stop-outflanking/#findComment-2708909 Share on other sites
IraSummers
Something related: do servo skulls stop enemy units from entering play from the sides or rear (outflank) after the first turn? or does their deployment denial ability only work before turn 1? Do they stop enemy deep strikers? All this can be answered by reading the Servo Skull entry in the codex. Short answer: they do not effect outflanking and they have an effect on your opponent having a deepstrike land near them. Spacefrisian, Don't their scouts still use the "Scout" USR? If so, then it is effected and still scout, reguardless of what it is called. Unless you are talking about their outflank thing as its completely different.
