Captain Engelhardt
So, after a lot of building yesterday afternoon and some touch-ups this morning, I proudly present my first Dreadknight aka Knight Titan: Lord Katchar, Hound of Wrath The Dreadknightkit is full of win for modellers and I really enjoyed working with it. I have him in two parts right now so I can stick him together pretty easily. If that proves to be unstable I will simply glue both parts together. Wicced
you got every reason to be proud brother, fantastic work :) although i'm not a fan of the banner on the gun, i know titans sport these too, but i think it's to wide. a slim banner would look better i guess. DarKHaZZ13
I may have dreadknights in my army now...just becasue of this... you'll have to do a tutorial for the head if you decide to do another one ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/226389-knight-titan/#findComment-2711089 Share on other sites
Firepower
Well, that's about as cool as the Dreadknight is ever going to get. Saves me the trouble of taking a stab at it now. :D Simply epic work. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/226389-knight-titan/#findComment-2711104 Share on other sites
The Broker
Well done. I wouldn't have thought that the DreadKnight was tall enough to make a Titan with one, but you've done it. The 40k Hobbiest
Quite well done. I would like to see some more pictures of the torso area, however. I don't get it. But in my own defence, I woke up less than five minutes ago. ;) Can't wait to see it painted! Hyaenidae
Ever since the Dreadknight came out, I've been waiting to see someone do this, very nice sir. Out of curiousity, would you be able to build a tutorial on that chainsword arm for the masses? the Fell Hand
Excellent. I too am now sold on the DK model. Are you able to remove the terminator inside? Or is he trapped forever? Warsmith Aznable
Fantastic stuff, though I will echo the above reservations about the banner hanging from the cannon. Really great, though, and I especially love the GS work to convert the word MARS on the shinguard. Captain Engelhardt
Here's a short how-to. It's pretty simple, and I think the picture is self-explanatory. I used 4 layers of 1mm plasticcard to get the effect. The teeth are simply made by cutting into the middlesection of the chainsword, they're no stand-alone pieces. http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu145/bucket_of_bcb/Tut.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/226389-knight-titan/#findComment-2711863 Share on other sites
