Servallier
Hey there, this is my first post, and i thought i'd use it on something constructive, namely, the concept of plastic sororitas. I like the rules for the sororitas, and love the models, but the fact that they are 90% metal is a major bugbear for me, metal and i have never gotten on at the best of times. So, does anyone have any ideas about how i could convert them. One major idea i've had is using Daemonette heads with sculpted hair (this is something that's going to be fairly easy, as short sororitas-style hair is pretty easy), but below the neckline, i'm not sure where to go. Here's a few ideas i've had: Converted DE kabalite female torsos Converted High Elves (white lions/phoenix guard) (this elimates the 'bullet trap' armour style, but relies on the head to denote them as female, not a major issue, but an issue nonetheless) Dark Elf Corsairs (See HE example above) Daemonettes and a lot of GS Feedback on the above, and any other ideas you guys can give me is very welcome, and i'll see if i can get a log going with some prototypes as soon as the idea gathers momentum Serv. DV8
If you don't mind waiting, I would hazard a guess that within a year, GW will be releasing plastic Adeptus Sororitas. The talk around the water cooler is that Jes Goodwin has already been doing a LOT of work on the kits, and that the only thing giving him grief right now is the hair (as he wants it dynamic, but is rather limited by the technology and necessary sprue layouts). Servallier
Alas, that implies patience, something i have in short supply ^^, when they eventually come out i'll probably phase out what i'm planning with the new stuff, but until then i want an entertaining modelling project to keep me occupied Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/226459-the-sororitas-in-grey-and-green/#findComment-2712167 Share on other sites
Olis
Entertaining, eh? Why not have a crack at another army you like to pass the time? Nothing strenuous, of course, say 500pts worth? DV8
Focus on converting a general then. Don't waste your time and money amassing all these parts to convert up hordes of infantry when you can just do it for far less effort later on with the official kits. NemFX
Daemonette heads suck. Dark Eldar would be a good base for plastic soriatas, but order some girl heads online. Are Hasslefree still around? They were good. Or if you want helmets, maybe Pig Iron? I'm still surprised at how few Sisters of Battle wear helmets.
