Robed PAGK?

A question for the floor: Do you think the robed Dark Angel bodies could look OK fielded as PAGK?

 

Background: I am excited as :huh: for Terminator troops, and I love the TGK box dearly. But now that I've got the codex in-hand, I'm finding that I'll need at least one squad of PAGK for the small-points games my buddy and I usually play. I've got a squad's worth of bare plastic Dark Angel bodies, which would get me back on track for zero cash expenditure. ;)

i've been thinking that too, but only 2 of them lack the DA symbol.

i've been thinking about robes and i was wondering if i could just take some actual cloth and robe them up, maybe strategically glued to pose it.

As long as there is you're conforming to WYSIWYG (mainly SB+NFWs) then I don't see how it should be a problem. In fact the idea sounds very enticing. In particular, it fits in with the secretive, monk-like themes of the purifiers.

I say go for it. I use them in my Chaos army as chosen. If i can corrupt you can most certainly have them serve the emperor in another light.

Here are some of mine :

They were made out of FW tank commander + GW NFW pack + DA veteran upgrade sprue + Green stuff for the SBs... quite expansive at the time!

I'm already working on 20 more made out of 2 vet DA sprue and 2 PAGK box : you've got to love those plastic kits as they fit each other SSOOOOO well! more over it's 20 GK (10 robed/10 regular) for 73 Euro!!!!

For a DA Sprue and one GK box, you'l made easily made 7 GK : 5 NFW/SB + 2 psycanons whith all the piece you need.

For more you've got the arms for 2 Psylenccer and 1 Incinerator GK, But you'll need more GK torso. More over you may be limited in Weapon option if you don't want to mix and match, and if you're not interested (like me) in incinerator & Psylencer, you'll need some more SB arms and weapon (whereas its halberd, sword, hammer...).

BUT there is a really easy solution and cheap : Oyumaru!

It's a modeling past that you'll find easily on the net, or in "girl shop" (don't know how to call that type of shop in english. it' place where you buy things like pearl and other stuff to make your own jevelery, makeup, candles, deco object...).

Basically it's the same product as the coolminiornot instant mold (except it's colored) , 3 time cheaper, and avaliable in many country (so you avoided exessive post charge...)... So with only 1Gk box and several DA upgrade Sprue and a bit of work youl'll make as many robed PAGK as you want (all you need is to make torso and SB arms + a few weapon)

So the more you want of them, the cheapest it get!!!!
