Pre-heresy styled Iron hands

so, after way too long of not posting any of my own work here, Ive decided to start back up again.

Im going to try and keep this as up-to-date as possible, but i make no gaurentees as to when I will get pics up. I will try and update with written posts at least a few times a week, if not more.

Anyway, without further ado, here is the latest war-engine I have been working on for my Iron Hands, the awesomely awesome Nemesis Dreadknight!! In games terms i will simply be using this as a dreadnought, and maybe as a modified dreadknight in games of apocalypse, but anyway.

here are the two pics i have of it in its current state:

WARNING! ALL THE PICS ARE BIG FILES, CLICK THE THUMBNAILS AT YOUR OWN RISK

As you can see, I havent done a huge amount with the kit, mainly just de-GK it, and change the weaponry to something a lot more convensional. The goal of this is to have one model that will be able to be able to have as many of the differant options avaible as possible. Im currently waiting on parts to build it a sort of servo-harness, the left arm will have a scaled-up plasma cutter (plasma cannon), and the other will have a heavy flamer. Im basing them off sentinal legs, so the scale should be pretty good I think. The legs will be posed more or less exactly the same as the servo arms from the stndard GW techmarine model. With the harness done i will be able to field it with:

Left arm:

TW lascannon

Assualt cannon

Plasma cannon

Right arm:

Missile Launcher

Power fist with either a storm bolter or heavy flamer.

Fluff wise i dont even care, it looks cool, its going in my army. It can also double as some of the special character dreadnoughts featured in the B&C's Iron hands codex in the librarium. WIN

Ive also taken the Legion of the damned squad to 8 PAINTED models. Ive got an alternate sergeant, a standard legionare, one with a heavy flamer, and another with a multi melta to go and Im done.

Here is the squad so far:

All the models are just kit-bashed (except the melta gunner, who is one of the orignial GW LoTD minnies).

And last but not least for today, my first nearly-finished tactical squad. still to paint is a standard marine, and another with a lascannon.

Other stuff Im working on:

Deathwatch (counts-as sternguard)

Terminator captain

Dreadnought arms

Scout squad

Vanguard veterans

terminator sergeant

jump pack chaplain/iron father

razorback

predator

fellblade

Sgt Chronus proxy

Captain sicarius stand-in

Land Raider Terminus Ultra

(start making a) second tactical squad

So yeah, theres a fair bit on my plate at the moment, but im steadily getting through it. 99% of it is just painting, not a lot of building or converting work at all.

anyway, comments crits, ideas, all welcome :D

Although I can't see what distinguishes as pre-heresy, but as a IH force they look pretty cool.

I also like the idea of the Dreadknight, being a hugly modified IH construction :D

They are PH in that i wont be having any imperial eagles etc on them, thats it really. Other than that its marines as normal.

Hopefully it turns out well with the servo harness addition. Im really happy with it atm, so it only gets better from her (or at least thats the plan)
