Resv
Hello everyone! I have been working on this concept since the new Blood Angels codex was released. I have been thinking about ways I could work in Lion bits and pieces, sort of a contrast to Space Wolves. Once I had read that there was a new Gray Knights codex on the way I decided to hold off on making a Blood Angels army for the time being. When I got my first look at the new Gk plastics I knew it was a good idea to wait! Here are my conversions so far, with more on the way once I get a more bits and pieces. I would really like to know what you guys think! http://www.blind-works.net/video/HQ1.JPGhttp://www.blind-works.net/video/HQ2.JPG This is my HQ unit so far. I used parts from the High Elf Chariot kit but I don't think the head came out quite as well as I had wished. I have been trying to think of some other ways I can add a little more flair to the head. I wanted the body position to look like he was almost roaring or charging forward. http://www.blind-works.net/video/Dread1.JPGhttp://www.blind-works.net/video/Dread2.JPG This is my first Dreadnought (which are awesome in the GK Codex so I figured why not make a few) I used a Librarian Dread body and had to do quite a bit of trimming from one of Lion from the HE Chariot. I'm not quite sure what else I want to add to this guy to make the theme stick a little better. Let me know what you guys think! konskrypt
I'm liking the lion addition to the GK body. I think it works very well. Have you seen the Lion helms and pauldrons on Scibor Just type lion in the searchy on the site and see what you think. Dont know if you might be interested just thought would be an extra option for you. Good luck with the rest of your conversions chap. subtlebrush
I definitely like the idea. One thing I would suggest for the HQ concerning the head is to maybe have the lions head supported above his head like the charging Space Wolf on the codex cover. Other then that I would love to see the color scheme. Resv
I ordered a bunch of stuff from Scribor to use on the rest of the army. I didn't want to use to much on my HQ so he doesn't look too busy. I have NO idea what to do for the color scheme. I was thinking of going with the standard Gray Knight look but instead of using straight metallic I would use more of a shiny gray (to much metallic paint can look really bad). I have a test model that I will shoot and post up. I know that I want the Lion Head and possibly the mane to be gold. General Ravensong
Oh no! The scribor lion pads are notoriously huge, but they might look okay on termis...
