Inquisitor =D=
(wow... glitches...) Hey everyone, I'm trying to see where to turn now. I have a collection built almost entirely on "The Way of the Water Warrior", Silent Requiem's grand GK strategy for the old codex. But the thought that comes to mind is with all the new changes and tweaks I wonder if its still viable? Could I give the old dog some new tricks or is it time to get a new dog so to speak? I currently own thus; PAGKs x22 - 15x Halberd/SB - 4x Sword/SB - 3x Incinerator TGKs x5 - 2x Sword/SB (Stern model included) - 1x Sword/psycannon - 1x Halberd/SB - 1x Hammer/SB Rhinos x2 Land Raider x2 Land Raider Crusader x1 Dreadnoughts x2 (Box set weapons...) Inquisitors x3 - 2x PA, BP, PW (the bolt pistols are holstered.) - 1x Hector Rex! Henchmen x6 - 3x Alcolytes - 1x Servo Skull - 1x Mystic - 1x Servitor (forgeworld one.) Stormtroopers x22 - 13x HSL (Hot Shot Lasgun) - 2x Flamer - 2x Grenade Launcher - 1x Melta - 1x Plasma - 1x PF/ Pistol - 1x PW/ pistol - 1x PW/ Plasma Pistol Soo...... Help me out? ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227039-where-to-turn/ Share on other sites
Vindicatus
I'll chime in and say that the vast majority of army tactics are malleable to a variety of situations, and by rights they should be. You will never face an enemy that will fall into place opposite you in the exact way necessary for your tactics to work, and thus they need to be fluid, able to change at a moment's notice without completely canning your entire army. Those tactics are still extremely viable, if you choose to adapt your force (or conversely, adapt the tactics slightly to match your force) in order to play competitively. It's just a matter of how you choose to play. It'll take time and testing, but you can adapt it fairly well; I've already started to revamp my strategy a bit, and those principles detailed within those tactica guides are a great foundation to move up from. Brother Dylan
I believe landraiders will still be even more effective compared to our previous edition. Strike Squads make it very difficult for armies to use suicide squads or drop pod dreads against them. Stormtroopers or in this case henchmen became cheaper and received an upgraded ride. So I see no reason why his strategy would not carry over, if not become deadlier then before.
