Byrne
Hi, I was reading the GK codex, and I looked at the S-B rule. it say "items of wargear" so stormshield is an equipment, does that mean S-B don´t work on an armou or storm shield? Iron Father Rik
Storm Shield is a piece of wargear. You could also use the word "equipment" to describe it. It is the same thing. "Wargear" is merely a term to describe a piece of "equipment" that is specificaly for use in a war situation. lordsloth
Im fairly certain armour shields equipment and weapons are all wargear. i think the only thing it doesnt work against is innate invulnerable saves that come from dodging, being a daemon or other things like that. Byrne
what trow me of is the different labels, equipment, wargear armour and such... not crystal clear,,, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227127-vindi-assassin-shield-breaker/#findComment-2720511 Share on other sites

Seahawk
Wargear = equipment = items = all smashed by Shield-breaker. Terminology is loose in Warhammer, and if one is coming from a game like MTG or other such things, it's hard to adjust! 501st
To Clarifiy. Shield Breakers Effect all forms of invunerable save that are given by a peice of war gear or equipment. they had to specify cos in the draft codex (i have a copy and trust me the finished is alot better) it was simply destroys your invulnerable but they found that if you shot a daemon with it the daemon no longer had any save. BrotherWasted
The term "wargear" is not loose at all. Everything that is standard issue for a specific unit comes under the heading of "Wargear" in their unit entry. The term "Equipment" is a sub-heading under the Wargear section of your Codex. Therefore, as written: The Vindicare takes away any invulnerable saves that come from something that is listed in the Wargear chapter of your Codex. I would also argue that Shield Breaker DOES break through Demonic Gifts. Demonic Gifts are by their definition described as "equivalent to the weapons and other wargear used by mere mortals". Therefore; Demonic gifts are wargear, and as such any invulnerable save granted by them is ignored by Shield Breaker. Reclusiarch Darius
90% of invul saves are from wargear anyway, so it's hardly a massive problem. Anyway, Shield Breaker is hardly going to be the most used ammo. Turbo-Penetrator is just hilarious, it's pretty much a guranteed penetrating hit every turn on virtually any piece of armour. Sure there is cover (and you can roll badly for damage, as I always seem to do), but it's still pretty good. Still, thanks to AP1 you have a 50% chance to kill it on the damage roll, which isn't too shabby.
