skoll
I know some people go for subtle red marks, and I've seen some more drastic conversions here. But overall I'd like to know how ya'll represent it. Also what do you all think of using http://store.privateerpress.com/index.asp?...=154&Page=3 several metal wolf heads there In my opinion they look rather nice (same scale 28mm), albeit in my mind the wolfen look more like werewolves, tough some of you have mentioned, they arent quite there. But they also have a nice selection of weapons for rather cheap, and the body sprue looks nice as hell and would make a decent runic armor. TL;DR : what do you guys think of using some wolf heads from there for MW and what do you guys personally use. Growler67
I envision them as more feral looking than their brethren. Whether you choose to represent them wih tatoos or whatever is your choice. Using heads like THESE can be one option. Using armor-less arms like those found in other GW lines (specifically WHFB, though not exclusively) may be another. Combinations or some other way of making said model "stick out" when compared to the rest of those on the battlefield/tabletop. If you don't add anything like an icon or standard pole or such to the top of the backpacks on your models, maybe using something like that would be a way to differentiate your MOTW model. There are examples within this forum subsection if you take some time and have a look around. hendrik
i paint my mark of the wulfen models like they are described in the ragnar stories, with yellow eyes since i think the mark is the same as just being wulf bitten Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227140-mark-of-wulfen/#findComment-2720782 Share on other sites
Emperor's Scourge
Roaring face, face paint, and two CCWs. Nothing fancy since the codex fluff doesn't support actual wolf men. Growler67
Just ask your LGS if they stock or can order Mythicast or find a vendor that does/can. I haven't seen them but I don't hang out much in my LGS. I have seen Mythicast models there before though so they may be able to order them, just wouldn't have a clue on how long that might take. Chances are, wherever people are getting the Mythicast Wolves to proxy as ThunderWolves, would likely be where you can get these guys too. Cool models though. You just have to have the imagination and bits. I know for a fact that Mav is making several MoTW figures. Showing the progression of the darker side of the "canis helix" from the wolf bitten, to the wulfen. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
I take two chainswords, a wolf helmet, and some charging legs, and put them in an aggressive hunter position. While not over-the-top awesome, it works well, and gets the job done almost effortlessly with little cost.
