Tanhausen
Unclear question...why do want to cut? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227173-melta-plasma-flamer-etc/#findComment-2721122 Share on other sites
Glitch85
Ive bought the 6 melta pack from GW, all the meltaguns have a metal hand already on them, the tactical arms Ive bought also have the hands on so I need to get rid of one or the other so they fit properly Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227173-melta-plasma-flamer-etc/#findComment-2721130 Share on other sites
Tanhausen
Plastic is easier to cut so...I suggest you pin the wrist though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227173-melta-plasma-flamer-etc/#findComment-2721152 Share on other sites
Dhx711
Personally, I found it easier to snip the fist off the gun. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227173-melta-plasma-flamer-etc/#findComment-2721335 Share on other sites
chromedog
I cut the plastic hand off the arm and pin into the hand on the gun. Then glue them together. I've done it with both the metal plasma guns and the melta guns. ShadesOfGrey
..or you could see if there is a difference in detailing (if any), or maybe one of the wrists is positioned in a way you like better? Or maybe the model is a bit unbalanced and using plastic would improve weight issues? There is no 'right' answer other than using the method you prefer. As others pointed out, plastic is easier to cut (cleanly) then metal, so you could say that is a 'better' method. Still doesnt matter though.
