JustKimV1
Could you use Imperial Guard models as Warrior Acolytes as i was thinking about using either Vostroyan or Steel Legion models but obviously painted in a different colour? Thanks Kimberly Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227309-warrior-acolyte-question/ Share on other sites
templargdt
Sure, I think that would be fine. I would be careful to make sure it's WYSIWYG, but I plan on using Guardsmen for my warrior henchmen. Inquisitor =D=
I've actually been perusing all the models I could bring to the table with this one entry. Stormtrooper (Warrior Alcolyte w/ Carapace, Hot-Shot Lasgun. 13pts) Arbites (Warrior Alcolyte w/ Carapace, Boltgun. 9pts) Sororitas (Warrior Alcolyte w/ Power Armor, Boltgun. 15pts) {could also be "weakling marine" or Squats...} =]D[= Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227309-warrior-acolyte-question/#findComment-2723068 Share on other sites
Inquisitor Fox
One I'm planning on: Fire Warrior using Imperial weapons due to ammo concerns (Carapace armor, laspistol, bolter) You could use just about any Necromunda figure if you watch the wargear, just about anything in the Imperial Guard line, Space Marine Scouts, old WH and DH henchmen... We have been blessed with an incredibly extensive selection of roles and wargear for our retinues. I'm using a Necromunda Cybermastiff as an Inquisitorial Servitor, you could use Necromunda Enforcers for Warriors or Crusaders, I've been considering an Eldar Harlequin as a Death Cult Assassin. If you can think it up and model it, chances are it will fit one of the henchmen types. dublindawg
Conversions and inginuity are the best part of this hobby. I hadn't even thought of my old Necromunda models as henchmen. Just like my Signature says I could use a few mastifs myself. Hadn't thought about the crusaders though, riot shield/ shock maul = storm shield/power weapon. Works for me. =]D[= Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227309-warrior-acolyte-question/#findComment-2723110 Share on other sites

Thanks Kimberly Sure. Main problem is finding laspistol/ccw models, but nothing a bit of conversion or bitz trading won't help. That being said, having everything in a like color scheme does unify the force, so it's up to you. I go with red cloth under black "carapace" armor for my Inquisitorial Storm Troopers.. then robes and the like are in bone color. It works for me, and shows up as similar but different to my Sisters of the Sacred Rose (white armor, black cloth with red trim), Grey Knights, and Blood Ravens (red with some bone bits). dublindawg
When looking thru my many storage cases of miniatures I came across 3 squats that have never been assembled. JustKimV1
I think ill probably take Coteaz(nice model and for extra units) and then use Steel Legion Models painted in the same colours as him to represent his bodyguard plus a few other models that i like for instance crusaders. If you guys ever read them you'd remember that Eisenhorn practically adopted that regiment of Gudrunite Rifles during that affair with the Necrotuech. Its not unheard of. And in fact I think it'd happen quite often. All an =][= has to do is tell the administratum they were Killed to a man and Bam! he's got his own private army. Heck, my Inquisitor Decklan permanently commandeered the survivors of a stormtrooper regiment and re-named them. But then again that's my own story in the making. :( =]D[= Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227309-warrior-acolyte-question/#findComment-2724207 Share on other sites
