Warrior Acolyte Question

I've actually been perusing all the models I could bring to the table with this one entry.

Stormtrooper

(Warrior Alcolyte w/ Carapace, Hot-Shot Lasgun. 13pts)

Arbites

(Warrior Alcolyte w/ Carapace, Boltgun. 9pts)

Sororitas

(Warrior Alcolyte w/ Power Armor, Boltgun. 15pts) {could also be "weakling marine" or Squats...}

One I'm planning on:

Fire Warrior using Imperial weapons due to ammo concerns (Carapace armor, laspistol, bolter)

You could use just about any Necromunda figure if you watch the wargear, just about anything in the Imperial Guard line, Space Marine Scouts, old WH and DH henchmen...

We have been blessed with an incredibly extensive selection of roles and wargear for our retinues. I'm using a Necromunda Cybermastiff as an Inquisitorial Servitor, you could use Necromunda Enforcers for Warriors or Crusaders, I've been considering an Eldar Harlequin as a Death Cult Assassin. If you can think it up and model it, chances are it will fit one of the henchmen types.

Beat me to the idea already did ya Nicole? Lol.... Just like my Signature says I could use a few mastifs myself. Hadn't thought about the crusaders though, riot shield/ shock maul = storm shield/power weapon. Works for me.

Could you use Imperial Guard models as Warrior Acolytes as i was thinking about using either Vostroyan or Steel Legion models but obviously painted in a different colour?

Thanks

Kimberly

Sure. Main problem is finding laspistol/ccw models, but nothing a bit of conversion or bitz trading won't help.

I think it was a case of great minds having a similar idea seperately ;) I've been using it for two or three years now (bought it JUST before bitz ordering went the way of the dodo) which is about as long as you've had your siggy!

@JustKimV1:

To be honest, I don't even see why you'd technically have to have them "a different color" :) An Inquisitor could recruit and commandeer troopers, uniforms and all, should it suit his purpose. That being said, having everything in a like color scheme does unify the force, so it's up to you. I go with red cloth under black "carapace" armor for my Inquisitorial Storm Troopers.. then robes and the like are in bone color. It works for me, and shows up as similar but different to my Sisters of the Sacred Rose (white armor, black cloth with red trim), Grey Knights, and Blood Ravens (red with some bone bits).

Just another question iv got a couple of old henchmen models that GW dont sell anymore i dont think, the scribe with robotic arms and the chained up psyker i was thinking about using them as a servitor & arco-flagellant would that work?

Those would work in my book!

Too right! If you guys ever read them you'd remember that Eisenhorn practically adopted that regiment of Gudrunite Rifles during that affair with the Necrotuech. Its not unheard of. And in fact I think it'd happen quite often. All an =][= has to do is tell the administratum they were Killed to a man and Bam! he's got his own private army.

Heck, my Inquisitor Decklan permanently commandeered the survivors of a stormtrooper regiment and re-named them. But then again that's my own story in the making. :(
