DeathKorpsman
Rad grenades are generally agreed to be one of the jewels from our grenade section. I'm personally trying to figure out more ways to fit them into assault units in a list without blowing too many points on it. cac1389
how many points are you going on. ive also dropped draigo from my 2000 pt list for a grand master, just more flexible with the upgrades. DeathKorpsman
Looking at the 2000 point range also. I might end up going with assault techmarines leading Purifier squads. Not exactly the most points efficient way to do it, but it is a way to get a decent combat character in with the Purifiers that isn't wearing TDA. The techmarines also give me a ruin perfectly suited for plopping a Vindicaire in. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227383-rad-grenades/#findComment-2723823 Share on other sites
Drudge Dreadnought
They are nice I suppose, but considering how easy it already is to get str up with psychic powers, and that instant death is also readily available, are they actually that good for the grey knights? cac1389
well in my area theres lots of people who use plague marines and other high toughness units. it just helps with that extra boost to woud them. Drachnon
They are nice I suppose, but considering how easy it already is to get str up with psychic powers, and that instant death is also readily available, are they actually that good for the grey knights? Rad grenades always work making them less susceptable to anti psyker stuff (which at least in my area seems to become quite standard) also they don't cancel out each other but enhance each other. wounding on a 2+ is very nice. Mostly I just try to look at how much an upgrade costs and how much benefit I have from them, for their points rad grenades seem to easily get their points back even if the user is not in a squad. In a squad of purifiers or terminators with banner I'd expect them to win back their points 3 to 4 times in a single combat round. ashc
great that an ordos xenos inquisitor can have them along with psychotrokes, makes death cult assassins all the nastier! Reclusiarch Darius
They're hard to fit into a list, but if you can manage it, rad grenades are so good. That said, 'Hammerhand' and 'Might' from the Librarian means you can get by without it. Wastelander
Um, guys, if You'd excuse my little OT question... How many 'nades can you use during one turn? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/227383-rad-grenades/#findComment-2724541 Share on other sites
templargdt
They automatically trigger whenever allowed to do so by the rules. So if you have frags, rads and psychtrokes and you assault someone, they will all trigger.
