Hi guys, just to get some clarity on Sword storm…

 

It says this

 

 

….”The Brotherhood Champion makes a single attack on every enemy model in base contact with him…”

 

Does this mean that the wounds caused by these attacks must be allocated to the models he hit as it says he makes a single attack ON every enemy model in base contact?

Generally, close combat attacks are treated like shooting. Even template attacks are distributed where the owning player chooses. So I would say that you only use the amount of model's in base contact as how many attacks you get.

 

Of course, if you have your champion in contact with 3 members of a squad and an IC, you would put 1 attack on the IC, and 3 attacks on the squad.

So you recon, that even if it says ON every model, it will still be treated as normal cc?

 

Like I said, just trying to get some clarity. Really just to see if crowe can be a bit better than what he seems to be. Went into a of 2 broadsides and 2 shield drone, took the whole game to kill them...yeah yeah, I know, at least he stopped them from shooting at me... ugh, 150 pt tar pit....seems a waste just to make you purifiers troops :tu:

Just because he is making the attack on certain models doesn't mean those models are the ones taking the wounds. It goes back to the way they describe CC in the BRB as a "swirling melee" He get's to make those attacks against all in base to base but who actually takes the wounds is done normally (baring IC's as was mentioned above).

 

We had a similar discussion with Gabriel Seth's "Whirlwind of Gore" rule when the BA codex came out last year.
